★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We love the Mac Johnson Wildlife Area! I work with a non-profit hiking group and we have people there weekly. The trails are amazingly maintained and the Friends of Mac Johnson have been incredible when we work with them. You are doing yourself a disservice if you live in the area and haven't been here!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went for an evening walk with my sister here. I was so amazed at the beauty of the place, I had to catch up with her every other 5 minutes. Right after the parking lot is the beautiful pond + lake area where you will most likely see the lil geese family with their lil ones roaming around. They are the cutest! That feeling of breathing in the crisp fresh air and the smell of earth was just priceless. I couldn't stop myself from taking pictures of this place as it had so many varieties of trees/landscapes/flowers/insects. We walked around for 2 km and rewarded ourselves with a well deserved bacon bbq burger right after ;(

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very peaceful and quiet. If you like a nice quiet walk with your significant other, or walking your on-leash dog, then I'd highly recommend Mac Johnson Wildlife Area. The picture says it all!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice scenery to explore. If you go far enough you start to hear the machines from close by companies. Path is wide and clear for walking and safe.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to walk, skate or have a fire. They have a gazebo so picnics and BBQS would also be a good idea. There are multiple entrances into the park, free parking and bathrooms. It would be nice if people picked up their dog poop but they don't so beware! Also found other nasty stuff I wont speak if here. Please take your garbage with you!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mac Johnson is a lovely area for a winter's hike. It started to snow while we were there. I just wish people with dogs would clean up after their pet. The trail at the south end is getting pretty disgusting.
