In 2018, I decided to investigate a hydroptherapy tub but was told by two different electricians as well as Ottawa Hydro that our 100 amp electrical service was inadequate and that we would need to upgrade to 200 amps. Ottawa Hydro said that it was impossible to upgrade because of the wiring to our house, or that it would cost at least $10K to dig up wires and replace them through our yard. So we started to look for another home, one with 200 amp service but did not find anywhere we wanted to live. We gave the idea of the tub one last try in 2020 when a colleague recommended Lumos. Scott at Lumos downloaded our daily electrical use for several years and analysed it, concluding that we were nowhere near our maximum usage and that having the tub installed was entirely possible. I was so happy to hear that and grateful that Lumos took that extra step to ensure we could do it. Furthermore, it did not cost anywhere near $10K. We have had the tub for 4 months now and everyday I am thankful to Lumos for going the extra mile. They were great and I would 100% recommend them. I am so much more comfortable because of their expertise and care.

He saved me the default service fee and provided me the knowledge to be able to address this type of situation in the future. I will call Rob and Lumos again, and I will be recommending him to my friends and family. Thanks Rob!!!!!!!!!

It was a pleasure working with Scott and Rob; their team of electricians are all professional and great to have on site. I'll be using them in the future and can't recommend them enough.

They cleaned up as they went along, also very easy to get along with, from first contact to techs they sent out. I should have not procrastinated and called them sooner. Anyone who needs an electrician should give them a call.

Hydro finally came and said I needed an electrician to fix the mass and hydro box. Everyone else said 2 to 3 weeks.... these guys came and fixed it. He had compassion and made everything happen. My electrical problem was diagnosed and repaired in less than 30 minutes, so he had extra time to do some additional work within the 2 hour service call window. The price was completely reasonable, the work was clean and efficient. What more could you ask for?

He understood what I wanted to do, and sent someone out as quickly as possible (about 3 days later). Matthew came and did all the work in under two hours and cleaned up the mess before he left. It took just about 1 week from sending out the request to getting the work done. They were quick with their work and I would recommend them to my friends and use them again if need be.
