★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great day for a moderately easy hike! Truly amazing experience that is well worth the drive down the logging road. Use caution with low ground clearance vehicles and bring a working spare to be safe.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fabulous place with awe-inspiring trees, not far from Port Renfrew. Both Upper and Lower Avatar Grove (on opposite sides of the road) are fantastic treasures. Great for wilderness lovers, tree lovers, nature lovers. Not great for anyone with mobility or knee issues, but definitely an easy trek otherwise.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Crazy drive for passengers (nauseous kids in the back seats), and then the final 20 min is old logging roads. Driver beware.
The hike is excellent. Appears to be 2nd or 3rd growth with a few old growth mixed in. Kids loved the hike, just hated the drive

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to walk in the forest and see some very large trees. Some stair and some tough walking up and down. Road is rough at the beginning, but got better. Allow lot of time for the drive.
