Low Cost Equipment - Rental, Repairs, Sales, Sharpening

I don't judge a location based on one bad experience, but I have now had 2 terrible ones back to back at this location. I use google reviews to determine if I will use a business or service so will take the time to let everyone know how poorly operated this place is. First and foremost it seems as though the business relies on post-it-notes for every message, servicing, and reservation. Lose the post it note, and you're out of luck. Last spring brought my lawnmower in for servicing - oil change, blade and look at the choke assembly. Strict instructions that the choke assembly was sticking, if it could be freed up excellent - if not don't worry about it. The older fellow at the front feverishly wrote down my requests on a post-it-note and off I went. 3 weeks later after calling a few times I decided to go in to see what was taking so long. Same old fellow at the front (great sense of humor by the way), surprised to see me. "oh waiting on a new choke assembly he says". Not what I wanted I explained again, which seemed to trigger his memory and suddenly the lawnmower was ready and he agreed that they hadn't even ordered a new assembly as of yet. Lawnmower was just sitting there. Yesterday I wandered in to enquire about renting a trailer. Older fellow at the front - wrote my name and # down on (you guessed it) a post-it-note and stuck it to the counter. Trailer was due back later the same evening and would be available for the following morning - one of his colleagues would be in touch. My wife and I make plans to pick up the load we needed to the following day with the seller and everything is arranged. At 10:25 today I haven't heard from them so decide to call. The fellow that answered had no idea what I was talking about- no reservation, no post it note. I explained the trailer was out yesterday, due in today and I was looking to use it. This employee said good news, that the trailer was here and available - I said my name in full and that I would be down in 1 -1'1/2" hours, employee said that would work fine. Show up at 1200 - no trailer, young employee working the front taking the bulk of my frustration. Called his boss - explained my stance on having reserved the day before, called in to confirm 1'1/2" prior... boss said he had never heard of it, told the employee to apologize to me and that the trailer was tied up now. Now I am in a jam. Used them twice, let me down both times.

Amazing rental place for all of your rental or small engine repair or sales needs. Andy, Dave, Chris, and Son are all gentleman offering the highest level of customer service and take care of my equipment like it's their own. Andy is the most knowledgeable engine man that I know of and has helped me numerous times with equipment such as blowers, chainsaws, hedge trimmers, chippers, and stump grinders. Thanks Low-cost!!

Thank you for the customer service that I received assisting my mother with the sharpening of her push mower. The staff went above and beyond offering to drop the mower off as I don’t live in Tsawwassen and my mother doesn’t drive. Once again the level of customer care is greatly appreciated. Cheers.

Prompt service and friendly staff. We were in need of a dehumidifier and were given a quote for a daily and weekly rental in a reasonable time via email. When I arrived the associate had everything ready for me to sign. They helped me load it into the back of my SUV and away I went. Upon my return a week later; all I had to do was okay the invoice and drop off the unit. Really appreciated the efficiency in getting in and out. Pricing is reasonable and the unit did a marvelous job. Would use again and recommend them no problem.

My business, The Dream Clean a small local commercial cleaning service needed to rent out some equipment for a job we had in Tsawwassen. We had the privilege of being helped by Blaine. He helped us through the process and made it very easy for us. Blaine was informative, friendly, professional and went the extra mile for us. They close at 5 pm and open at 9 am and he allowed us to pick up our equipment prior to them closing so we had it for our job starting at 7 pm and was able to return it at 11 pm when we were done. This was all to help us save $7 for a full day rental and the fact that we didnt have storage room to keep it until the am. We were so fortunate that they went the extra mile for us. It allowed us to make our client happy in the process. We will be back renting from Blaine and his team at Low Cost Equipment Rentals in no time. Local supporting local. I truly recommend them. I recently had my mower serviced here - totally fantastic service from start to finish. It’s clear that they take pride in their work and they do whatever they have to in order to complete the job and please the customer. In our case, this amounted to them having to machine an existing part to work for our mower. Sam and his team are focused on the customer and doing a great job, all at very reasonable prices. I will recommend them, highly, to friends and neighbours. We need to support our local businesses to ensure that they are here for us when we need them!
