★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The conversion from a 1A1 key system to installation of a Northern Telecom SG-1 PBX, along with a backup 1A2 key system and sleek looking Logic 10 sets went smoothly. Additionally, quite a few 2500 sets had to be converted to A-lead control. All went well, with little down time.
Everyone is quite excited to use the new integrated Companion III speakerphones for handsfree conference calls. It looks very modern, alongside the Logic 1 set in our boardroom. A welcome upgrade from the older, hardwired Companion II.
Amphenols were all terminated at exactly 18" and cabling of the QPC rack was very neat. (Obvious signs of good craftmanship)
Jumpering of the R66 blocks was consistent, with perfect drip loops at all terminations.
We noticed also, the wiring of the RTS-3 power supply was meticulous, with the proper gauge wires used on the outputs.
All the mushrooms used on the jumper channel were of the proper color and the standoffs and R66 blocks were perfectly square.
(Quite pleasing to the eye)
Clean-up of the riser was spotless. Nary a fragment of 25 pair cable was to be found, nor any bits of jumper wire.
We did have a small problem with phantom buzzing, but this was quickly resolved the next morning when the techs returned and added a diode block to the backboard. (With appropriate yellow mushrooms)
