Nice little camp, clean, quiet, no amenities other than bathrooms and (shouldn't drink) water. Nice lake beach is right across the road.

Lovely little beach with many amazing rocks. I found tiger iron which I plan to tumble smooth. The water was clear and cold and very refreshing. It's a bit of a shame there's only one outhouse, I think it'd benefit to have 2 or 3, but oh well.

A nice 15 KM trail following along Lockhart Creek through dense Cedar and Hemock forest of the Provincial Park. Didn’t get too far up the trail, but the first couple kilometres are nice and mellow before climbing quickly. I’ve heard the trip and back takes approximately 6-7 hours? Imagine the views of the lake from the top are quite nice and there is an old cabin halfway up that makes a perfect lunch spot. After returning from a solid 6 hour/800 M elevation gain hike, you’ll probably want to cross the highway and take a refreshing dip at the beach! To get here, park in the day parking at Lockhart BEACH Provincial Park (Note confusingly that Lockhart BEACH & Lockhart CREEK Provincial Parks are actually separate parks!) From the trail kiosk here follow a path through the provincial campground that briefly cuts through neighbouring Bayshore Resort and then takes you up to Lockhart Road. From here turn left and walk up the road a short distance before turning left again down a road to Bayshore’s tent campground. After walking down the road to the campground you will see the bridge over Lockhart Creek On your left, which is the official boundary of Lockhart CREEK Provincial Park. Cross the bridge over the creek, turn right and begin ascending up the valley along the Creek through the mossy undergrowth and cedar. Keep your eyes out for trail tape and signs to stay on course and have fun!
