My 11 years old (Gr. 5) son is in French Immersion so he needed some extra help to improve his English skills. He started the weekly (online live) reading and writing class last September and we are extremely pleased with his performance and improvement. He just got top marks in English on his school final report card and his classroom teacher mentioned that his English writing is β€œimpeccable”. Without hesitation, I can say putting him in the Little Mountain Academy (LMA) class was an excellent choice and I highly recommend their programs to parents whose children need some additional help or who simply want to improve in a given area, like writing. Lastly, I want to share a few things that I experienced with LMA. 1.My son was in weekly virtual live classes and the classes were 2 hours long. At first, I thought 2 hours seemed too long for an 11 year old, however my son really enjoyed the class and looked forward to hit every week as there were a lot of interactive discussions, games and activities which made the class more interesting. If you happen to miss a class, they send you recordings so you can catch up before the next week’s class. 2.I really like the fact that the virtual live classes only have a small number of students. In our case, it was four students and the opportunity for participation and contribution to class activities for each student was tremendous! The online platform they use is highly interactive and interesting. 3.The teacher was very fun, friendly, knowledgeable and caring. The curriculum was excellent and it was clear to me what our son learned each term and how he improved. 4.I really enjoyed the extra experiences: Parent and teacher interviews, Report card, and In-class parent visits for student presentations. 5.I still need to remind my son to complete his weekly homework assignments but the amount seems realistic and manageable and helps him improve a lot. 6.My only worry for the next term is the schedule. My son has extra curricular activities throughout the year and getting a workable schedule can be problematic. While we had a similar problem last year, they attempt to accommodate our schedule as much as possible. The staff were very friendly and empathetic and we are confident they will make the schedule work for us again this year.

Our two kids (10 and 13) have been attending LMLA since Kindergarten when they started a French Immersion program. Over the years, they met many dedicated and engaging teachers, developed their English speaking, reading, and writing skills, and were always looking forward to the next class :) Thanks to LMLA, both our kids were able to develop a very high level of English, despite we don’t speak English at home. All the teachers we met were fun, friendly and very professional. Similarly, LMLA staff have been always trying to accommodate all our needs. During the pandemic, LMLA managed the transition to online teaching extremely well. The online classes maintained both engagement and rigour. Thank you LMLA!

We are on online learning. My daughter loves it. Whoever needs English classes, we strongly recommend Little Mountain. Their online learning platform encourages the kids to participate in their class. Teachers are experienced and good with young kids too.

My daughter goes to French Immersion elementary school so she had quite limited English learning environment till the beginning of Gr. 2. She has been really enjoying the classes since the first day at LMLA. It has been a year and 9 months and her English grammar, reading, and writing got improved tremendously. We had to go to Korea this March for my knee surgery and I didn't think my daughter would wake up to take her 7:30 am LMLA class in Korea time, but she insisted to keep taking the class from her favorite teacher G as she didn't want to miss any to learn something new. Thanks to their online platform availability during Covid-19 pandemic, she was able to keep learning even in Korea. Either on or off site class worked well for my daughter. All the staff and teachers are super friendly and professional. They have their own LMLA special program throughout kids' learning process and I think it is very effective and well-laid out. Thank you so much to LMLA team! I would strongly recommend it to everyone.

My daughters started taking the math class at little mountain 1.5 years ago when they were 5 and half years old. They fell in love with math ever since, now they are in Grade 1 and they can do grade 3 math problem solvings. Thank you Little Mountain and Ms.Lital, our wonderful teacher.

My daughter has been studying at LMLA for over 4 years, starting at the ESL elementary level, and she is now enrolled in Gr.11/12 Academic English Composition and Gr.11 Pre-Calculus. Starting with ESL studies, she has gone through different levels of LMLA gradually and now she is very interested in language learning and wants to pursue it as her post-secondary academic goal. She has studied with different teachers over the past few years, all of whom are experienced in motivating children to demonstrate their potentials and communicate very well with parents. During the pandemic, the school took full consideration of the needs of the students in terms of online classes and did their best to accommodate different schedules. My daughter trusts her teachers and wants to continue her senior grade academic program here.

My daughter has been in LMLA Math program for 3 years now, and she started their English program when pandemic started (2 years). Communication is prompt and clear (thanks to Kay) and they listen to the feedbacks and accommodate the promised learning needs of students. I am very happy and satisfied with their amazing staff and tutors. Little Mountain tutoring helped my daughter take her homeworks seriously, and do them independently. She always gets a perfect mark in her math tests at school (thanks to Little Mountain tutors!). I am also very grateful to LMLA English program, and her English tutor "James". Their amazing curriculum and program impressively turned my daughter into an avid reader and a book lover. I can't say enough positive things about LMLA. If you need tutoring for your kids, this is the right place to go. They have caring staff, great teachers and awesome curriculum which get the kids hooked on learning. Thank you Little Mountain!

I was searching for a writing program for my son. I came across Little Mountain Learning Academy. I am very impressed with how effective the communication is. Kay, the operations manager replied my emails and addressed my questions promptly. I was able to get my son the assessment that he needed and observed a class right away. Their writing class curriculums are very well designed. The teacher we observed was very well organized. The learning objective was very clearly stated and followed through during the class. Highly recommend.
