I have used the firm for about 25 years now. I still use them after that long a time. That should be all I need to say. Everything from last will to a ticket as well as protecting my intetest in a contract or 2. I will add friendly efficient staff and very professional environment. I recommend this firm.

David Reid demonstrated extreme lack of competence and character in handling a real estate matter for me following the death of my husband. Calls were repeatedly ignored, appointments cancelled till statute of limitations expired. He came to my office with an apology and an offer of $5000. (His own words told me my case would bring me damages at a minimum of $30000-$40000). I thought he was actually sincere. Wrong again! Not only did I not see any money, not only did he ignore calls again, I could never get any of the materials pertaining to my case back. His way of making sure I didn't go to the Upper Law Society?? All this after giving him quite a non-refundable retainer. The man is not merely incompetent, he is morally corrupt.

Had family member in a complicated situation with many charges. Located David Reid by recommendation of duty council in Goderich Ontario (after said family member had been denied bail and detained). LittleMasonReid - was quick to contact back. He seemed very understanding and confident that something could be done to help my elderly family member and even offered to take a lower then usual retainer (i felt more comfortable paying the full retainer). All said and done. after a month of postponing court dates and fumbling around setting up a bail hearing review. David informed me that he wasn't very confident in our chances with little to no explanation (after LOTS of reassurance toward a reduction of some degree). Immidiately I started contacting "better" higher paid lawyers within the area. Upon finding one I was satisfied with - they reached out to let David know they would be handling the case from here on out (as did I through email). David conveniently let me know I owed him 5000+ dollars and would hold my documents until paid. Save your $.. don't go cheap.. unless you want to be misled by this friend of the crown. I am not asking for miracles - im asking for accurate information/representation/and communication.. and I can't help but feel and say I haven't recieved a single shred of honest communication during this entire 5500 dollar transaction to acquire some kind of bail for my family member. I hope this helps future possible patrons from further heartache and further financial damage.

READ YOUR DOCUMENTS!!! Moved to the area last year, didn't know which law offices were good. Unfortunately, we picked the wrong one. They clearly don't review/double check their work, EVERY document we received and needed to sign for buying a home had incorrect personal information - names, birthdates, EVEN THE PRICE OF THE HOME - OVER $20,000!. Not to mention a very simple cheque we received back due to overpayment had the wrong name..how hard is it to write a cheque with the correct name!! When brought to the lawyer's attention, she never acknowledged the mistakes, no apologies, and brushed it off like nothing happened. Not to mention while waiting for the lawyer, in office, we could very well overhear the law clerks, speaking so rudely about clients, as they looked at the ringing phone not wanting to answer as this particular client was an annoyance who called way too much for their liking..shame on them! We get it you hate your jobs! What an unprofessional environment!

Absolutely the worst law firm I’ve ever had to deal with. These lawyers are incredibly unprofessional.

Be very selective! Choose wisely. Less than one star! A 6-month process took over 3 years! Lack of follow up. Staff never seemed to be informed where the file was within the legal process. Some files were not submitted to probate although we were told they had been. This delayed the entire case. No apology or explanation given. Do yourself a favour...

Would give negative stars if possible. David Reid is the most unprofessional lawyer I've ever met. I went to him trying to get an application for custody of my daughter. After wasting time on my application I eventually was served and became the Respondent in a custody battle. He had the audacity to tell me it didn't matter! This law firms neglect to my case and slow response times cost me a year in court and wasted time. I eventually hired another lawyer and my case was finished in three months no thanks to Mr Reid. I'm not sure how he sleeps at night or how the upper law society of Canada has not disbarred him. Choose carefully and research your lawyers as this guy has no business being one.

I wish I could give them less than 1 star. I have never in my life been treated so poorly from someone I was bringing my business to. There was clearly a miscommunication between Cheryl and I but instead of her treating me like a human being, I had to sit on the phone and listen to her belittle me. It was such a minor error. My children were within ear shot and their jaws hit the floor. They could not fathom a person speaking to another person in such a rude way. I was a repeat client too. I will never bring another dime of my business to this law firm if it was the last one on earth. From word of mouth, this seems to be the consensus. What a terrible way to do business in such a small community.
