Lindbrook Star Gazer Campground - Tofield

Very disappointed in this campground. My 14 year old tested positive for covid late Thursday night due to an outbreak in his class and when I called to explain that we wouldn’t be coming now for the weekend they still charged me the full fee for the weekend because it wasn’t within their 72 hour cancellation policy. My friends who camped there said they filled my campsite spot for both nights but they still charged me. I could see charging a fee for the inconvenience but to fill the site and still charge us full price for being responsible and staying away is in poor taste. We won’t be camping here again which is too bad as my kids love their pool and we have gone there for years.

We recently stayed a couple nights here for the first time. There are a variety of different sites, some private, some more open near the park and a couple of group sites. Our site was nice, but could use a few trees across the back for the breezy days. They have a nice pool but unfortunately it wasn't open when we stayed. The new owners are friendly and I wish them luck finding their groove as the campground has a lot of potential.

Friendly, genuine staff. Heated pool, gorgeous, well maintained sites and grounds. It's kid and pet friendly. This was our first visit, but it won't be our last!

Awesome pool for the kids, family oriented owners, clean bathrooms, nice sites. All in all nothing bad about the place, city water on site to fill up, store has reasonable prices on ice, ice cream treats, etc. Great time, will be going back again!!

Friendly and welcoming owners upon arrival, its a small area for sure. Treed in for most of the site, we got site#6, my turn off for this spot was where the fire pit was located it was on top of a hilly corner fully open and virtually shared with the group site below, thank goodness they decided not to use it while we were there. Then the size of the fire pit, its large which is okay, but the $$ a bundle of wood? Not so okay. In fairness the amount given for that price is alright, it leaves me with the feeling your trying to force the guests into large wood purchases. Then there was an outhouse directly beside where your trailer gets parked and all the traffic to them. The pool was what was expected, clean, small but decent sized and cold even though its advertised as heated. Then there is the trains, seems like almost 4 every hour all day long, I hope you like the sound of trains rumbling by all day long, decently quiet at night though.

Special gem not so far off the beaten path. Friendly, inviting and accommodating owners, tidy grounds, large campsites- most of which are very well treed and private. Great playground, beach volleyball area, horse shoe pits, and a fantastic little pool (note: there isn’t a shallow end for really small kids, but there are plenty of life jackets). Pool side has nice tables and super comfy deck loungers as a fun bonus. Rates are quite reasonable for powered sites considering they include the use of the pool. On a side note, I’m a wheel chair user, and I particularly appreciated the interest the owners took in seeking out ideas of how to make the campground more accessible... the heart for investing in the future of this campground and making it workable for all different needs is exciting!

Amazing campground close to the city but with a ton of amenities. Nice solid playground with home made structures. Great heater pool. Great store with tons of treats. Great place for kids. The owner operator is super accommodati g and helpful. There is no water at each site but does have fill station on site along with dump station. Power at each site. Great prices for a lovely place. Totally recommended. A+++

Horrendous Customer Service I have tried to connect with you in regards to a refund for the cancellation of the May 6th weekend. I have sent numerous emails, posted on messenger Facebook, left a voicemail and I all get back is 'crickets'. I realize you are running a business and are quick on the uptake to take money, however if you have any modicum of customer service you would also be quick on the uptake to reimburse monies owed to customers when they follow proper process as indicated on your website. I have done all of this with numerous attempts to follow up and yet no response from you. If I do not hear back from you by May 20 you will leave me no other recourse of action other than to start the process of small claims court. Choice is yours. As you are having technical difficulties with your on-line portal might I suggest you just send me a cheque in the mail? That is an option. BK Ventures did attempt to send me a refund on Monday May 2 however they did not send the security password, I have also reached out to them and they have the same attitude as you 'crickets' they don't respond either. Really unhappy, disappointed with this unacceptable customer service. I am not holding my breath for a response as I only expect the same as past behaviour nothing from your end. Still waiting for a refund nix, nada, nothing, just putting this out there for others to be aware should you need to cancel your reservation you will be waiting for months or forever no idea as I haven't received mine yet. If I had the choice I would give a negative star rating!
