M	Michael Stokes on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I should clarify that this is not a review of Re/max as a whole, but in particular one realtor, Rob Johnstone. Rob Johnstone is absolutely terrible to deal with. He does not work for your best interest and is completely self motivated. If I hadn't had a huge time constraint to move, I would never have used his service (and I use that term very lightly). Rob was unavailable to do a simple portion of his job and delegated it to me, the client, whilst still collecting a large sum percentage from me. On top of that, he belittled my opinions and feelings regarding the sale of my family home, which I spent nearly 25 years in, as well as the purchase of a new place to live. He treated my family with disrespect, and whenever he was called out on it, was quick to pass the buck to whomever he could. He treated my mother, a widow selling her long time home after the passing of her husband and father to her children, very poorly and offered no sympathy to her once the house had been turned over to the new owners early, before she could complete her final walk through and have closure. I recommend highly to any and all people who are looking to buy or sell a property, never use Rob Johnstone. I restate that this is not a reflection on Re/max as a whole and is only intended to reflect the performance and experience involved with dealing with Rob Johnstone.
M	Matthew Smith on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ DO NOT TRUST BERTRAM This guy is so fake. He will tell you one thing and then do another. I lived in one of his units for 12 months before he came to me 2-weeks before my lease ended and increased the rent from $850 to $1000 plus I had to start paying utilities. My rent went from $850-$1200. If I didn’t resign, I had 2 weeks to leave the apartment. Then when the lease finally ended he over charged me and tried to not return any of my damage deposit! He wanted to make me pay for him repainting the whole apartment after I moved out. Asking me to pay an additional $400 on top of my damage deposit of $850 for his own personal renovations. It took threatening him a trip to small claims over lease to get any bit of my deposit back. This guy will try to screw you at every corner. His apartments are not kept to code, we had a leak for over 8 months he never fixed. Which costed me an extra $60 a month in water that he refused to subsidize. My neighbour doesn’t even have a key to her own front door. I would not trust a word he says about repairing or paying for anything, he said he would renovate our bathroom which was beginning to rot and mold because of poor installation and it took us not hearing from him for 3 full months because he went on vacation before it happened. Worst experience I’ve had renting in Calgary, or renting in general. The location is not worth dealing with someone who will squeeze you for every penny for a apartment that is not worth what he charges. Take my advice and save yourself some cash, a head ache, and some dignity. LIVE SOMEWHERE ELSE!
C	Chad Griffin on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pammi Brar viewed my vacant house in Calgary on behalf of Dan's brokerage. Pammi had trouble locking the back door so he called my listing agent who contacted me. After discussing solutions they spoke to Pammi Brar again who said he has left the house unlocked with better things to do and no plans to resolve the issue or make sure my property was secure. To make matters worse I called and talked to Dan Hope who owns the brokerage. First, I should tell you, the secretary said she was Elizabeth. Dan said there was no Elizabeth only a Helen. What is happening at this point! Anyways, Dan unapologetically felt Pammi needed to do what he had to. Dan felt his agents safety is of utmost concern, which is entirely irrelevant. He also went on to say how experienced Pammi is as if that makes anything better. After skirting any responsibility I hung up realizing neither he, his agents and most importantly Dan Hope's brokerage understand what professionalism look like. Beware if you are trusting this brokerage.

This woman befriended a friend of mine's parent and proceeded to basically take value from her on many levels, including forcing herself into new real estate purchase transaction that she had nothing to do with, moving these people into a rental of hers and charging a big rent, renting storage to these people, taking many very valuable fixtures and furniture with no compensation. Then once she had milked everything dry, gone....without care, onto the next victim. This is a ruthless money grubbing parasite.
