Welcome to Lil Hoots Consignment Boutique!
I am so excited to be taking on what was already created by the previous owner. I plan to put my own flair into this store and make it something that people think of first when shopping for their littles.
When I decided to take over Lil Hoots, I planned for every possible situation that could come up. Recessions, perhaps having to move, lack of customers, etc. Never did I expect to withstand a global pandemic! But we're still trucking on, working hard to be there for everyone!
I am a wife to Ryan, a mother to Aryn and Lucas. We have 2 dogs, Stella and Bauer, a frog, a fish, and whatever else I can save during the day.
I am part owner of The Newsy Neighbour Magazine with my best friend long-time co-worker Aleesha. We have also singlehandedly organized the Get to Know Your Neighbour Festival in downtown Strathmore for 5 years, the Readers' Choice Best in Business Awards for 4 years (we gave the awards to the Strathmore Chamber this year), and I organize a local FREE kids sports program, Munchkins Sports (we provide soccer and t-ball programs to kids in town for FREE. We have had up to 800 kids take part one year!).
I have been on the Youth Club Board, the Strathmore Chamber Board, the Strathmore Sharks Swim Club Board, and I am an active resident in the Town of Strathmore, always striving to offer any help and volunteer any way I can.
I am proud to be part of Downtown Strathmore.

It is ALWAYS a pleasure to go in and browse and chat with the owner. This store is absolutely a local gem!

The kids clothes that they consign are always high quality and I appreciate the time that they take to photo and post them online.
They have a great Instagram account too, and I click there first to see if there is something I want to go buy.
I share this business with mu friends who have kids all the time.
Such a great business!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Took a detour into main street of Strathmore :( Hard to describe the vibe for the town for a Saturday in December other than "Dull" and "Ghostownish".
Wanting to grab a bunch of items for family and kids friends gifts, we really had a tough time getting past the ridiculous pricing with an attitude.
Many friends that raved about this place in its early days, all said since owners changed it is a very forgettable experience and we agree. Overpriced by a country mile, so we vote 1 Star and zero people skill service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My favorite boutique store in Strathmore! Denise has made a remarkable impact on this consignment business. The store itself is gorgeously decorated & well set-up. The owner is constantly improving & reorganizing the store to aim for perfection; it’s like a new store every time I visit, yet I can always easily find what I need. Always a bonus to get to chat with the owner, Denise as well, as she is just a fabulous human. So inspiring to have such a gem of a store gracing our small town :-)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I LOVE this store. It is such a great addition to the community, and keeps improving. I almost always look here first for clothing for my child, and I consign the clothes she outgrows which SAVES MONEY. The quality of the used/new clothes is better than other consignment stores I have tried/shopped at. As it isn't a "big box store" there shouldn't be comparisons with the new items in this store, to those of Amazon, Walmart, etc...but alas people still tend to lean that way.
This store supports small business owners, so some new stuff cannot be found in those big box stores, therefore you will have a more unique item of clothing.
The BEST part of this store are the Teddy Mountain Birthday parties that the owner hosts!! When I booked, I wasn't too sure how it would go, and was planning on winging it, but she had an amazing scheduled plan! She is an excellent host to keep them entertained and wrangled in. I recommend this store often for the clothing, but now I have another ace up my sleeve with recommendations for parties!
