Just completed a consult on my own home. We were really blown away with the value this firm produced on the spot. They sent two very skilled consultants to my home and covered a very in-depth personalized review of my entire home. They were able to design on the spot and gave us suggestions that we had never considered related to remodeling our home with a strong focus on resale value and our personal needs. They gave tremendous insight into the following areas: 1)How to better space plan the home for usability and overall design. 2)Our conversation also included possibilities in our case for an addition. 3)Gave great insight in to how to make home much more efficient from an energy cost perspective. 4)Gave lot of direction on possible material finishing / overall appliance consideration and why. 5)Were able to give a lot of insight into possible requirement related to permits to be aware of. I did not feel any pressure to make decisions right away but have decided to move forward with the design stage. We are really looking forward to seeing the CAD computer designs for our future home. In my opinion this was really a relatively small investment for the consult when compared to the value received and I would strongly recommend this firm.

Any home renovation, big or small, can be a risky and most often a daunting experience. Justine and I are among the group where this is not our area of expertise. Enter Lifestyles by Barons. We had been following Lifestyles for many years through their annual Home Tours and became quickly impressed with their expertise, the quality of their product and most importantly the totally integrated Design - Build model which they offered. Furthermore, the Lifestyles model allowed us to take “baby steps” towards reaching our final Build decision . We started with the all important Consult stage where Lifestyles senior management spent several hours getting to know what we were looking to accomplish.In our case, we wanted to take our home down to its foundation and build our expanded dream home. The next stage was CAD or computer assisted drawings where Lifestyles developed a book of 3-D drawings showing every detail of every room of our desired dream home.We considered this stage the best investment we could possibly make. (we also received a credit of our Consult Fee against the cost of CAD). Reassured by the Consult and the CAD, we cautiously proceeded to Build Stage. However, not before Lifestyles produced a 30 page contract outlining every detail in respect to our dream home down to every detail including the light fixtures in every room( supported by pictures where possible). We signed the contract and embarked on a 11 month partnership which resulted in our award winning dream tour home. Anyone who has experienced construction will realize that you will always encounter unexpected happenings throughout the process, which we did.Whenever we encountered a “surprise “ it was very reassuring to have the Lifestyles expertise (26 years of experience) taking charge and resolving the issue. We should also mention that notwithstanding working at close quarters for 11 months and overcoming several testy situations, we remain good friends to this day-hardly a given in most construction projects. We have now lived in our award winning tour home for over 3 years and hope to do so for many years to come.We strongly believe we received a good value and competitively priced home. Updated: After completing the consult we decided to progress to the CAD design phase. The team from Lifestyles by Barons were very accommodating during the process as we had a long list of requirements and our own ideas. We shared all our documentation for our residence (site plan, architectural drawings, permits from previous work, etc). We wanted to ensure they had all possible information to help deliver the design of our Dream forever home. In addition, Gord and Rick asked us for pictures that gave them a sense of our style and preferences. This is a very important step so that they can really understand and incorporate what you are looking for. It should be noted that we conducted this design in a very challenging environment with Covid-19. Gord and Rick went above and beyond to ensure we were both comfortable and safe. The attention to detail in both the design and our health and wellbeing shows what an outstanding company Lifestyles by Barons is. On design reveal day we were blown away with how our feedback, style, and vision were brought to life in a detailed 3D rendering of our new space. Gord and Rick were excellent in understanding our desires and anticipating things we hadn’t thought of. Our design was a partnership between what we were looking for and the experience and creativity of an excellent design team. They went above and beyond in showing us a few options when they felt there were a couple viable solutions to consider. In addition, the decor centre was an incredible place to review the design with Gord and Rick able to show us in real life many of the elements that were planned for our space. The ability to see and experience in the actual decor centre is incredibly valuable. I would like to emphasize that we greatly enjoyed the process. Gord and Rick took all the time we needed to explain and answer all our questions. I must say that it felt like they had as much pride in the design of our new home which says a lot about the quality of the work they do. Lastly, Lifestylesby Baron was very candid about the current build challenges in the COVID pandemic with the extent of the renovation we are preparing before. We decided to regroup when things get closer to normal to determine next steps and timing. This type of client first approach is something you rarely experience and reinforces our choice to work with them on our project. Bottom line, I can’t imagine letting anyone else transform our home into our Forever Dream home. We had the privilege of working with the team at Lifestyles By Barons to do a complete renovation of our home. The process started with a comprehensive consult that gave us an idea of what was possible and greatly expanded our thinking of how we could approach our renovation. We then moved to a CAD design that brought their ideas to life in incredible design drawings that really gave us a realistic "touch and feel" of how our renovation would look when complete. The comprehensive design work allowed us to do our renovation in two stages. Elements that would be required in the second stage were incorporated into the first stage so that no rework was required. We are extremely happy with the results of our project and would highly recommend Lifestyles By Barons when you are planning your next renovation.

We discovered Lifestyles by Barons while looking for a replacement fireplace. We made an appointment to see their design centre. Well worth the appointment. They have so many amazing decor ideas. They are a one stop place to go for all your renovation needs. They design and build. Very personable people to deal with. One would be more than happy with what they see there. We can't wait to get going on our fireplace and future projects.

I was so impressed with what Lifestyles by Barons have been able to deliver for me from design to material to craftsmanship in home renovation design and build process. I met the team of Lifestyles on a really unique fun home tour, that they run yearly. I have been to a number of these tours and was blown away. I even had a chance to talk to previous home owners who were also thrilled with their homes. Get on one of their tours. It will be worth your time and effort. They have even being recognized by the build group as one of the three best in the province. They so deserve this recognition. After many years of admiring Lifestyles' work on Houzz.com, I was thrilled to learn that they're in the GTA, and approached them about remodeling our main floor. My mother was so impressed with their portfolio that she thought to do the same with her own home. We're just back from our first design/proposal review for her house and it's nothing short of spectacular. Gord and Rick put so much time and effort into understanding her design preferences, how she uses her home, and what is important to us as a family - but also in really creative solutions that we would never have considered. It's also worth mentioning that a visit to their design center is really a treat. They've filled the three floors with ideas at varying price points and in varying styles, and the home itself is truly a work of art. It doesn't feel like a commercial space, it feels like a truly welcoming family (or multi-generational) home with delightful and thoughtful touches throughout. We have lived in our home for many years and have been considering renovations for some time. Our reluctance to move forward emanates from a lack of understanding of the processes of renovations and where to start. We scheduled an in home consult with Gord and Rick who provided an overview of the company, its history and took us through the renovation process with Lifestyles by Barons. The consult provided the information required to understand renovation considerations, ideas, and processes to maximize the value add of design build renovations. As a follow up, we made a trip to their head office and decor centre to get a real feel for the quality of work they provide.
