★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very accommodating of my fear of needles. The staff were kind, worked efficiently to minimize my discomfort, and let me lay down until I was 100% sure I wasn't going to pass out. Short waiting time, even though I showed up with no appointment.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I called on a Friday to attempt to get in for some pretty urgent tests. My doctor had sent my requisition the day prior. When you call Lifelabs, their auto-mated voice system gives you the option of speaking to someone if your req was sent more than 48 hours prior, and also informs you that if your req was sent less than 48 hours prior, to press a different number so they can attempt to look it up for you. Sounds helpful! Until you follow their instructions and press #6. I was transferred, requested that the worker try to look up my req, and was promptly informed by her that they won't even try to look up reqs less than 48 hours old. A direct contradiction of what their auto-mated message told me immediately before speaking to her. To make my day even more difficult, she hung up on me mid-sentence after delivering that news.
This place is a shining example of where and how Canada's Healthcare system is failing.
The lines are also notoriously long. Bring something to do if you do choose to go here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Have gone here a few times now and have always been treated with respect. I have bad veins so it’s hard for them to draw blood and usually results in five attempts. The people at the Prince George LifeLabs are great, if there is two attempts and the person can’t get on the vein they bring in another one to try. And they listen, when I say the one vein that looks like a shining star but isn’t, I don’t get the ‘oh I’ll get it’, they go to where I say usually has a good one - the hand!!!! I’ve made appoints and also walked in and have never had to sit for more the 1/2hr when I’ve walked in, I’ve waited for a lot longer at other places. And the fact that I can read the results on line is an added bonus. I highly recommend this place. Oh, and the technicians are wonderful ??
