Mouth watering food is all I can say !!! We arrived 20 mins before closing and the chef treated us like family , he took our order in a timely fashion and attended to our specific needs , I do not like spicy food at all so he made my fish mild and my boyfriend loves spicy so he made his spicy. Aside from the food the chef is a great conversationalist who just wanted to ensure we were happy with what we ordered and went as far as to giving us suggestions for dishes . He said to call him Uncle Paul so Uncle Paul if you see this I can’t wait for you to come southside so we can enjoy your delicious meals everyday !!!!! Thank you for the authentic yummy African food :)

The only reason I have 4 star is because entres costing $25 and more should have more meat than the cassava leaves had on my plate.Other menu entres like the chicken 1/4 with rice or the whole fried fish offer way better value. Other than that the food is great but we need the meat !

Their African food offering is broad that I had to eat a meal in shop and ordered another meal as take out. Customer service is also top tier. I'll definitely recommend it to anyone and will be visiting here when next I am in Edmonton.
J	Jules on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I ordered egusi with pounded yam on Sunday through SkipTheDishes. I was looking forward to eating my meal because I was craving egusi for awhile. When my food arrived I realized that the sauce looked kind of weird. As I was putting some of the egusi into a bowl I noticed that there were clumps of uncooked egusi in my sauce. I couldn’t eat my food because I knew I would be sick if I ate it. I wasted my money. I’m extremely disappointed that whoever cooked this thought it was good enough to send to a customer. Total waste of money. This restaurant is usually my go to place for African food but I’ll have to find a new place now. I’ve noticed that whenever I order something that isn’t a popular item on their menu that meal or item isn’t made with the same amount of care and patience as their popular food items. I’ve attached a photo of an example of the clumps of egusi I found in my sauce.

I like trying different types of food and so far every African dish I've tried I've enjoyed (the ones I've tried at Heritage Festival every year). Tried 2 dishes, the jollof rice and plantain with chicken which was delicious and a generous portion and the 2nd was the peanut soup, I was curious about this one and it was quite spicy which I didn't know it'd be lol I'll definitely try a few more of their dishes.
