Our goal is to provide a relaxing atmosphere where you and your friends/family can socialize; eating, drinking and relax to Jazz, Habesha and other sounds which serenade the room.
Because of the quality and affordable nature of our food combined with Ethiopian Hospitality, Bete Africa Ethiopian Restaurant has become the ‘go to place’ for a true test of Ethiopian food in Edmonton. One of the great attributes of traditional food is that it is the result of innovations and experimentation by successive generations of people which enhanced its quality, test and variety.
With years of service experience, Bete Africa Ethiopian restaurant has been the well-known Ethiopian restaurant in Edmonton. And now, under new management for the past two years, we’ve giving it a fresh start after updating our standards and look while respecting our traditions and authenticity.
A mixture of modern and traditional atmosphere with Ethiopian crafts displayed around the restaurant gives Bete Africa a traditional feel. Many different flavors and choices from vegan to carnivore friendly. I will be back with my boys to enjoy this little gem again.

All the items we ordered were absolutely delicious and I appreciated the owners suggestions on some dishes to try as well. Love supporting family owned and run businesses and this one is an absolute gem! We will definitely be back (and can't wait to bring friends!)
