About Lethbridge Gymnastics Academy
LGA subscribes to, and believes in, the new codes and conduct being developed by Gymnastics Canada and Alberta Gymnastics. Some members of our community, namely gymnasts, are particularly vulnerable to individuals in positions of power. Due to the many hours that gymnasts spend away from their families training, the unquestioned authority of the coach and sometimes traveling under the direction of unrelated adults, these athletes are not socialized in the same way that most young people are. With increased acknowledgement worldwide, of the sport’s culture of compliance and silence, everyone involved must make a concerted effort to change some long-standing practices and behaviours in order to keep ALL members safe.
Athlete maltreatment will not be tolerated.
LGA has in place policies and procedures that describe conduct that will not be tolerated; standards of behaviour that coaches, parents, staff and volunteers must follow to ensure participant well-being and a process for receiving and handling conduct complaints. If you would like a copy of all policies and procedures, please contact us. Creating a legacy of safe sport practices rests with current coaches, club owners, administrators and the Provincial and National orgamizations.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of my favorite things about LGA is the positive atmosphere they have and the way that they encourage their athletes, and that everyone is welcome! They celebrate the athletes' achievements, and are excited for their progress, and constantly give good feedback to help them to do better. My kids feel comfortable with the coaches. My kids seem quite happy there.

My daughter attended the Science Week and she has LOVED it!
I am impressed by the variety of activities offered, as well as, the off site field trips, including Henderson Pool, going to a variety of parks, and having Kona Ice come to the gym!
My daughter is already asking if she can come next summer!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have been really happy with the programs here! They are very inclusive for my son who has CP. He loves when he gets to go to gymnastics! The coaches put out activities to help with some of the movements we are trying to achieve and we appreciate it so much. My one year old also enjoys her toddlernastics! It’s been fun each week watching her gain more confidence with the different activities put out.
Great place and very inclusive! Highly recommend!

This is an inclusive, friendly, and accommodating environment. They have a great selection of classes at different skill levels and the prices are very good. I absolutely recommend them.
