★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love that they offer free leaflet advice and help pay for your lawyer when you don't make a lot of money plus their very friendly and very knowledgable people who try their best to help you out as much as possible.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If I could give zero stars I would. I was given VERY poor legal advice by novices to the field, that complicated my case even further. No decent lawyer in the Oshawa area was willing to take my case because I was funded through legal aid. Most would make no secret of letting me know that when I contacted their firm. Eventually I was able to find a lawyer who showed a miniscule shred of interest in representing me, but she basically just took advantage of the legal aid funding and never contacted me again. Her name is Gail McRae and she runs a family law office in Oshawa. The legal aid system proved to be a complete failure for me and my family.

I needed to use this service and it not only greatly aided me in being able to receive representation from a phenomenal lawyer but also anytime I called about questions regarding my legal aid the person on the other end of the phone no matter who it was, was always extremely polite and courteous as well as knowledgeable and showed a genuine interest in assisting me. I would highly recommend legal aid to anyone who is considering it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm not really sure what to say about raising place. The one time I really needed legal help the staff where so rude and really not helpful at all.
Plus if you need help now for get it because this place is always closed now.. probly because of covid.. but you would think the website would help a little but nope... *sigh*
