About Leduc Denture Clinic
A: Immediate dentures are dentures that are placed in your mouth as soon as your teeth are extracted. The dentures are made prior to your extraction date so that you don’t have to go without teeth. By inserting them immediately, you start to get used to having them in your mouth right away which can make the transition to dentures easier. It also helps protect the tissues by acting as a “Band-Aid”, helping control bleeding and swelling. They also help keep food particles from getting in the extraction sites, reducing irritation and possible infection. There are plenty of follow up appointments to do with immediate dentures, as your tissues are shrinking as they heal. In order to combat the shrinkage, we place temporary linings in the denture. These fill the areas in the denture where your gums have shrunk, improve the fit and your comfort level. These liners are placed in the denture every 4-6 weeks as necessary for at least 6 months before we do a “permanent reline”.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was sent here from my uncle after having bad experience when I first lost my teeth with another lady in Edmonton who was very rude to me and my partner then covid hit and she told me that I was up for my visit. She never gave me a liner or did anything but make them and taught me how to take them out I went in with a sore and could not wear them she got mad at me for wasting her time so I never went back to her and have lost lots of weight and it got to the point I again was living off soup and soft soft so I was told about these people Kevin and went to them it's like sleeping on a new pillow they feel awesome I can eat and have no pain.
