About Learning Ladder Childcare Ltd.
My name is Pushpanjali (Sonu) Chopra and I am the Owner/Director of Learning Ladder Child Care Daycare & Out of School Care. I have 19 years of experience working with children and families in the field of Early Childhood.
I was born and raised in Delhi, India. I earned a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Public Relations. After finishing my education, I worked as a Public Relation Office for the India Trade Promotion Organization.
In 1994, I married my husband, Dharmender Chopra and our daughter was born in 2000. My experience with motherhood and parenting has shown me that raising a happy, healthy child is one of the most challenging and strenuous jobs.
In 2001, I decided to continue my education in the field of Early Childhood, obtained my Diploma in Nursery Teacher Training and worked as a Nursey (Kindergarten) Teacher until March 2006 when we, as a family, moved to Edmonton. Once we settled in Edmonton, I went to work as a Child Development Worker in a Daycare centre working with children ages 2 – 5 years old. In 2010, I once again returned to College and completed my Diploma in Early Childhood, graduating with honors and continued working with the children combined with the duties of Assistant Director. In 2014, I was offered the position of Director at a centre that had both Daycare & Out of School Care programs.
At Learning Ladder Childcare, I will be investing my experience and knowledge in the program to deliver high quality childcare services and a safe and happy place for children. My goal is to provide high quality care to children in an environment that is safe and nurturing and to plan a daily program with activities that are fun and developmentally stimulating.
I want parents to be confident that your children are safe and well cared for while away from you. Learning Ladder Child Care will create a family feel with parents feeling as much a part of the centre as your children are. My team of staff will have training in Early Childhood Education and experience working with children. We will all work together to provide the highest level of care possible to your family.

my kids are very attached to me and I needed to make sur they are in good hands before I get back to work.
I had my tour and visited many daycares in the area and I was amazed by this newly opened facility, it's clean, organized, big classrooms and huge outdoor play area
the location is fantastic and easily accessible, a safe parking is available in the back of the facility
every day I receive updates on how my kids day is going , it shows pictures of my little ones having fun, eating, learning..etc (my best part of the day when I get a notification for a new report)

The facility is brand new, well thought out, super clean, and just beautiful. The owner is very kind and personable, we found talking with her came quite naturally. Her previous education and experience in childcare eased a lot of the anxiety that comes with having to find a daycare. The rooms have so much natural light and the outdoor play area looks very secure. This daycare honestly checked every single box on our list and was still affordable. I also appreciate the thought and care put into the precautions that will be taken to keep the children safe and healthy, especially during Covid. Toys are even cleaned between uses instead of once at the end of the day, and each room has a daily checklist to make sure nothing is missed. If you are looking for childcare I would highly recommend you book a tour because I have no doubt that before long there will be a waitlist.

They keep such a vibrant and busy space clean, sanitized and organized. They keep contact with me about my child via HiMama App. They provide nutritious meals and encourage the development of my childs, motor and communication skills, his imagination, and all his senses.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I came to see this new daycare on Saturday for an open house! As soon as I walked through the door i was greated by an amazing warm person with a smile. Sonu was very pleasant and the daycare was beautiful? Well designed and very clean.
Sonu as very open with communicatin about the learning through play and using natural materials to expand in development and their creativeness
Sonu has much experience as she started as a level 1 and moved her way up.. that is inspiring she Truely loves what she does.
I would send my kids there in a Heart beat.. i would highly recommend this daycare!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First experience with a daycare facility and I was blown away. The propietor, Sonu, is incredibly knowledgable and has been in the industry for close to two decades. The facility is large and any kid's dream; legos, painting supplies, dress up, washrooms designed for kids, open spaces, reading nooks and an attached rooftop deck so outside play is literally a step away. The space is impeccably clean and given the current health crisis this was very important.
The staff have well balanced meals and take keen interest in the likes and dislikes of your child; the dossier they keep is very in-depth. Staff are welcoming to any specific concerns I may have. Would highly recommend this daycare like I stated I was really put at ease by Sonu. She has so many teaching tools and keeps up to date on new methodologies.
And in saying how impressed I was, my child loves it, he looks forward to "school" everyday and comes home so happy to relay all of the fun things he did.
I would really like to add that the outside deck really made my decision bc the kids get multiple times of the day that they are outside playing and have their own space that is dedicated just for them.
As every parent knows it is hard to send your kids off when they have been home with you, but Sonu made the process easy. She keeps you up to date as to how your child's day is going which is such a nice reassurance that they are safe and being well taken care of.
Drop off is easy and streamlined with staff checking temperatures and covid checklist.
Highly recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We are so fortunate to have found the Learning Ladder Daycare. Sonu and the entire team have been incredible with our daughter and the transition to daycare has been so smooth. Initially we struggled with finding a daycare that could accommodate my rotating work schedule as I'm an RN that does shift work, and this has never been an issue. We also had a lot of concerns with sending our daughter to daycare due to her severe anaphylaxis food allergies. The staff are all trained and take extra precautions to ensure our daughter does not have any reaction. When we met Sonu we knew our daughter would be in the best care possible, and she took away all of our anxiety with sending her to daycare. Sonu and her team have been so accommodating and the communication is impeccable. We are always greeted with a friendly smile, and they go above and beyond to provide exceptional child care. The Hi mama app that they use is a great way to stay connected, and see how your child is doing throughout the day as they provide multiple updates and photos. We are so happy with the care our daughter is receiving, and would absolutely recommend this daycare to anyone we know. Thank you so much Sonu and all the staff for all your hard work – it does not go unnoticed and we appreciative every one of you and all you do for our daughter.
