Our History
We have provided high quality programs to children and their families in Calgary and area since 2002. From our humble beginnings, we have grown to support approximately 200 families every year in Calgary and area. Over the past years, our teams have worked with more than a thousand families within their homes and communities.

I signed my son contract who is 6 years old 6 month ago and honestly I am really happy with the whole team ( speech therapy, OT, behavior therapy, physiotherapy) They are all professional and provide my son their best. As we explored deeper, we began to realize that his frustrations in trying to express himself were impacting all aspects of his social life, such as asking for help, conveying his expectations, and building rapport with current & future friends. It was the Lead foundation that navigated our family through the social side of speech development. In addition and most importantly, during all of those hours working at improving his speech, our son also naturally increased and improved the roster of skills he uses for navigating through new challenges and experiences.

LEAD team members have supported us right from our initial inquiry about specialized services, through FSCD applications and renewals. Each week, they have delivered strategies, and activities in play-based learning. LEAD had meaningful, positive participation in Common Approach development plans with school - which made our life easier and our son's learning more transferable. Not only has LEAD fostered the well-being of our family, but they offer many fun opportunities to build community with other families. If we look back two and a half years, we could not be happier with our decision to work with LEAD.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our family worked with LEAD Foundation for 4 years for early intervention services, both Specialized Services and PUF. All the therapists and aides we worked with over our years at LEAD were wonderful, and I felt that they all truly cared about my child and our whole family. LEAD entered our lives during a very scary and uncertain time, but working with them helped my son so much, and gave us so much more confidence and hope for the future.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My son has been with lead since he was in kindergarten and now he’s in grade 4. We have been so glad that we had decided to pick lead foundation. He’s had 2 years of specialized services and 2 years of BDS program. The teams priority has always been to keep the same therapists on his team regardless of the services. They are professionals who are loving, caring and listen to parents and their concerns and have worked with me to bring our long term goal to reality. Sadly, we have to move on to another agency as my kid is getting older but I have been so extremely satisfied and content with my choice to go with this agency.

My child was with Lead team for 3 years. We gave full trust for first 2 years and did our best to support the team. However, on our 3rd year, we found out that they were reporting more hours than what they supposed to. When we questioned about this towards the end of the contract instead of providing the answer, the coordinator was just focusing to renew the another year. We still gave them a chance however with their unprofessional behaviour we ended up hiring private specialists.
I do have all the supporting proof to back these up, so again if this review gets deleted then I am going to share these to the media.
