★ ★ ★ ★ ★ UPDATE: I figured id give this another shot, and WOW. It's a great Bahn-mi now, the bread is fresh and unique, lots of cucumbers carrots and daikon and the sauce was on point. Also, the perfect amount of coriander. Don't miss the mint lemonade too, it's really good. Big props to the owners for following up on feedback and making the place great!
Order to table was about 10 minutes.

I feel like the right elements are here for a good restaurant(stylish place and good music) but there is still room to improve. It took me over 25 minutes to receive my food, a simple porc bahn-mi for takeaway at lunchtime. The staff seemed a bit disorganized, but that's sorta forgivable since its a new restaurant. What was less forgivable was that the sandwich itself was basically 90% bread, with very little filling and two tiny sprigs of coriander. edit: Clarity

The food is very basic , probably warmed up in the microwave as my noodles were super hot on one side and cold on the other and tasted a little unfresh (freezer taste). It misses authentic taste and despite it being a small neighbourhood shop, a little dissapointing. The service was below basic as i think they were maybe understaffed and overwhelmed. Waitress noticed our food was half eaten and offered a discount, at the cash they gave only 5%. Prices were not bad but not cheap for what it was. Papaya salad was nice and refreshing, vermicelli grilled chicken wasnt bad. Perhaps its just this one time, but based on this i wouldn't come back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Bahn mi and the peach drink that I ordered were delicious, but overall I found this restaurant quite overpriced. You can find a great tasting pho and Bahn mi elsewhere for much less. Their staff was super friendly though!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is my second time trying this place. First time we were hugely disappointed with their pho. Decided to give it another shot, and was disappointed again…$30 for two sandwiches, a 20 minute wait for takeout, and it’s just not impressive. Their food Lacks flavour, it’s not authentic and I think it’s overpriced.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delicious! Service is great too. Did take out cuz, covid. There is a small terrace with chairs and tables though. I got the spring roll with a little friend and we split 2 and they even asked if we wanted one tofu on chicken! That's amazing service right there.
My friend got the tofu regular bun bowl, I got the chicken island bowl, both delicious! It's not like a classic bun bowl, there is a lot packed in here, you'll be full. Especially if you get apps. The mayo ish sauce is yummy light and summery but flavorful. It reminds me a bit of a poké bowl but Vietnamese style. The grilled chicken is tender, well seasoned, absolute perfection.
I'll be coming back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Got takeout today, and it was delicious - just like every time I've eaten at the PSC location or Atwater market. The bun cha, veggie spring rolls, General Sao chicken - all perfect, everything fresh, well cooked, and good portions. Can't wait to go back for the yummy pho and banh mi!
