Are we going to need a separate marker for service now that the pandemic has changed how we eat? Friendly service, decent food (meat heavy) but waiting more than an hour per course is a bit of a stretch.

Great place for french cuisine. Oysters were fresh and the three accompanying sauces were delicious. The beef tartare was excellent and a very generous portion. The wine selection is one of the best in Gatineau.

I always have a great time at Le Cellier but there was something different about our last experience. It took a while to get our bottle of wine, our appetizers and our main courses (even though we all ordered the same thing). However, the service was good and the waitress was very friendly. The only thing we were upset about was the beef tartare. The last time we came (October 2021) we order the best beef tartare, which had pesto and artichokes, and couldnt stop talking about it for months. When we went back on February 10th 2022, it did not taste the same. It was quite dry and the whole recipe had changed. A little disappointed.

Very nice decor, staff is attentive to everything. The food was very good and portions were in line with what I expected. Highly recommended and will go back for sure.

Ok. It’s most like 4.5. Food taste amazing. Wine selection so so. Portion is good but I thought the risotto was way too large (but I’m sure some people would like that). Would definitely come back.

I went to this place with a friend of mine for dinner after going to the history museum. We had already tried a couple of restaurants in the area ranging from decent to very good. To our surprise, this restaurant blew all of them out of the water, no competition. We shared a bowl of chorizo and scallop chowder, she had the blue cheese lamb gnocchi and I had the short ribs with reduction sauce + veg. Everything we ordered was the perfect balance of rich and fresh, nothing was overdone flavor-wise, perfect amount of salt and spices, I could go on but this would become an essay. Best food I've had in years, this place doesn't screw around. If you're a foodie willing to pay for a quality fine dining experience, roughly $150+tip for a damn good meal for two, come to Le Cellier.

Very nice restaurant. The oysters were very good and the beef tartare was excellent! We also had the carpaccio which was very fresh. They have Vesper Martini ?☺️

The food was so so with some disappointment. We were sitting upstairs. Behind the curtain there was a big group of people. It was a noisy group. The restaurant should have separated small groups and big party group. We should have left before the main course arrived like the other guests left after a drink. The food looks good but food wasn't that great. I had the beef ribs, the cast iron plate was hot but the meat was like lukewarm. The appetizers were better than the mains. Also suggest that the restaurant should improve the quality of fresh oysters. The server also missed an order. In summary, it wasn't a pleasant dinner.
