Beautiful spot by the lake. Only about 40 campsites donuts nice and small, with some room between campsites unless you get a double campsite. Very nice that it is only 7 km off the main road. Pit toilets can suck but it's something at least. Running water in a few spots within the campground but you have to boil it first.

Beautiful campground and super friendly park staff! Family friendly with lots of green space and playground for the kids. Big campsites with big trees providing shade and privacy. Lots of fish activity in the lake for any anglers.

Great location, full shade, most sites are very private. Down side is only basic pit toilet. The last 3km drive is full of pothole and rocks, drive slow.

Very quiet place to camp. The sites by deer lake are great. Easy access to beach and a small playground. Deer lake itself is shallow and warm. Great place for kids to swim and learn how to kayak.

All in all deer Lake is a typical provincial campground. Gravel roads with packed gravel campsites that have a picnic table and fire pit. Pit toilets, firewood for sale, a kids playground, and a dock are all features. The lake is very shallow, and the shore mud and or rocks. It's not ideal for swimming, but paddle boats and canoes etc. Are just fine. There is an open grass area for games and a decent playground for the kids.

Pretty typical BC Provincial Park. Outhouses only. Sites are decent size. Generators of other guests runnning all day were annoying but quiet times were respected. Park hosts were present but not obtrusive. Lots of goose poop by lake- watch for swimmers itch!
