TEACHING PASTOR JOB OPPORTUNITY

Lakeside Baptist Church (LBC) is seeking a full-time Teaching Pastor who has a strong desire to serve God and inspire His people through excellence. Envisioning a new model of pastoral ministry, this position has been created to work in tandem with the current pastor, who will assume the role of Pastor (Community). Though the community pastor will remain the point (lead) pastor, this is meant to be a highly collaborative environment, with both pastors working tightly together with leadership for the benefit of the church and community as a whole.

The Teaching Pastor will have the implementation oversight over the pulpit and teaching ministries at LBC with a vision to grow, strengthen and develop the people of the church into devoted followers of Christ. This oversight will include the areas of pulpit ministry, sermon series/vision, children & youth ministries (visioning, support, oversight, leadership), and Learning Communities. View full Role Description.

Pastoral roles require great flexibility in hours available for work, including evenings and weekends. The position is full-time and salaried, based upon a projected 40 hours per week. It should be recognized that the schedule may vary at different times of the year. Salary level and benefit structure to be set by church policy. Compensation includes base salary and mileage reimbursement for ministry-related travel.
