About Lake Country Coop Gas Bar
Lake Country Co-operative Association Limited is a member-owned co-operative with several locations throughout communities in North Central Saskatchewan. Lake Country Co-op (formally known as Prince Albert Co-op) was established in 1940.
Lake Country Co-op is a part of a network of retail co-operative associations across Western Canada called the Co-operative Retailing System (CRS). We are owned by our members, who democratically elect community delegates who in turn elect the board of directors who hire the Chief Executive Officer of our association that aligns with our vision, mission and values.
Lake Country Co-op continually strives to be involved in our communities by hiring local Team Members, selling local products, and donating to local charities. We also continue to return millions of dollars every year to our members in equity and cash back. Our commitment to staying local is important to our business and truly makes us the co-operative we are today.
The success of Lake Country Co-op is directly related to the support of our members, elected officials, Team Leaders and Team Members. If you are a member of Lake Country Co-op, we thank you! ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful, friendly and amazing staff. Nice store appeal with the recent upgrades. They have an awesome coffee selection as well as flavored cappuccinos, lattes and steamers (my favorite is cinnamon! Try it) as well as four slushee flavors. They have one of those ice cream making machines that have been popping up everywhere. Large selection of road trip snacks and drinks. They have a Subway in the store for those who need a little more than snacks. And the newest addition to the store is the Co-op Liquor store that has been incorporated into the building and recently opened for business. It's really a great stop for almost everything you might need plus a little extra!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great employees! I hate getting gas there though. They need more pumps to be able to keep up and reduce wait times. I often drive right by and go somewhere else because of that. I wonder if people know there is another coop gas station in town...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pump attendant very rude and found it funny that our two year old was crying because she had to pee so bad - told us to try driving across town and trying the agro for a working bathroom. Both bathrooms conveniently "Out of Order" another family while we were there trying to find a toilet for their small child as well. (Multiple people walked over to the DQ to find them closed.) No signs on the front door, you have to go in. Bathrooms shared with the subway.
Not 24/7 bathrooms are stated in another review, even if they are working they are inside and not available all day.
They said it's probably a "plumbing" problem and it's been a while since they were open, bathrooms aren't connected or beside each other. You would think fixing a place to wash your hands during a pandemic would be priority - they don't care about their customers or the community.
