The Chef
Brian Laboucane is a Red Seal chef and head chef of LaBone’s. After years of training in culinary arts Brian started his career in Edmonton at hotel MacDonald. Making a name for himself Brian went on to become a chef at the Westin hotels in Banff and Toronto. A long-time dream of Brian’s was to open a restaurant in his hometown of Lac La Biche. The dream came true when LaBone’s opened it’s doors in 2009. Brian and his wife, Leona, operate the restaurant with the help of their four children.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you go there for the steak and shrimp, just don’t have high expectations because you will be disappointed, as I am right now.
Small and thin piece of meat, and mushy shrimp.
Ambiance? No music and uncomfortable seat. The waitress we had was too busy taking calls and walking around to come to our table.
We regret having our dinner here, we should have gone to the same place we had lunch...

Local feel and welcome
Food was fresh and large portion(pepper steak half gone in pic)
Although I'm only in town for 2 days
This is probably the best place to eat

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We rode into town for a night or two. Asked someone where was a good place to eat. They recommended LaBone's. Glad we listened. We started with the potato skins which were amazing. I had the full lasagna which was delicious and very filling. Too good to leave any on plate. Highly recommend this place if you're passing through.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Called to order a pizza for pick up while I was in town doing work. He asked if I was double vaccinated for a pick up. Not the point of the story. He said if I wasn't double vaccinated I wasn't allowed in and I had to pay cash. I asked the question back to clarify and he hung up on me. I called back, he was very rude and yelled over me trying to explain I would get cash, and hung up again. On the third call I tried to explain to him I'd just like to order a pizza, I can follow what ever rules he would like. He replied with if you call me again I will call the police and tell them you are harassing me. Worst service I've ever experienced.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My husband called to order food and the lady told him they were only serving pizza and wings right now so he said he would call back because he wanted pizza but I wanted bruschetta. He only said he would call back so he could ask me what I wanted because I couldn't get bruschetta. When he called back less then a minute later to order, a guy answered, I'm presuming is the owner. He was rude and told my husband they were closed. It says there open until 1am. So my husband went for a drive for food and seen they were open. Wow not a great business at all. I'm sure they may have good food but they certainly don't have professionalism or good business sense.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Orders double meat, double cheese. 2orders of shrimp. $70 bucks and no extras on the pizza. When I talked to owner. He said he was to Busy!!!!! What a JOKE!!! This place use to be first class. Wow how they fall!!!!!!
