★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've been looking for a new accountant. This accountant answered their phone when I called but sounded annoyed, said they were closed and refused to even take a message to call me back. They said I have to call them back. No social grace or even a slight attempt at an apology, even when I pointed out that it says they're open on Google to address their obvious annoyance. They said it's too much to change the hours every summer on Google and told me that, no, they don't want my contact info. They were very clear: if I want any info from them, I have to call them back myself.
I look for organization, basic courtesy and professionalism when hiring a certified accountant, none of which were demonstrated during our interaction today. Needless to say, I won't be hiring this accountant.
