We were looking for some skills assessment and skill building support for our son and he easily can read an entire book in a day, he's 13. Kumon evaluated his math and reading at a GRADE 2 level. Am I a "too proud parent", NO not at all in fact I'm harder on my kids than the education system. KUMON FAILED to even ask in their intake forms whether the student has any learning issues e.g. ADHD, spectrum disorders etc. NOWHERE on their forms does it ask that. SO, when a student does their testing and doesn't do it in their allotted time (often because of the LD in question), they're marked "wrong" for things not completed in the time and then they place your child WAY down in their assessment list. E.g. they placed our guy at a Grade 2 level when he's in Grade 8 WITHOUT ANY indications that he is SIX YEARS behind. Kids with ADHD for example are allowed more time for exams in school (even in post secondary) and they do well and end up being JUST FINE in the work force and in the real world. So whatever Kumon will tell you or spin it to make people like me seem like the angry parent, they'll be 98.5% of the time WRONG because their business model is built on REPEAT and CONTINUOUS business. I have three university degrees and a multitude of professional training, without knowing the "Kumon way" I'd have easily known what to ask and how to assess better than this cash-grab of an operation. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

Not sure if the other reviews are confused or potentially have the wrong location...but the people at Kumon on Ellwood and 91st will go out of their way to help your child. My son's reading and comprehension has excelled since he started here. He is well above his grade level. Thank you guys for all the time and dedication!

My oldest who is 10 had trouble reading and catching up in school, without Kumon he would be still be behind his classmates but thankfully he made a huge amount of progress in one year and is able to enjoy school more with his peers.

The staff is always helpful to kids and makes sure the kids have understood the questions and learnt strategies on how to solve it. With CoVID they have placed strong measures- temperature check, each child's entry and exit are marked.

Management is responsive and caters to your child's needs and style. My daughter liked her instructor Jessica. The only reason we are stopping is for another commitment relating to my daughter's health. We will most likely be returning in the fall.

My son is learning so much and is at the top of his class. The support and encouragement from the staff has been nothing short of amazing. The communication with parents always open and very helpful. I love how the staff know my child and all the other kids so well. I would definitely recommend this location over any other :)
