JANINE EIDSNESS
Physiotherapist
Janine graduated with a Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy from theUniversity of Alberta in 2007 after completing a Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology. After graduation, Janine has completed many continuing education courses such as Manual Mobilization of Muscles, Dynamic Core for Kids, Falls risk management, New Advances in Hip Rehabilitation, as well as Therapeutic Exercise Prescription. Janine has spent the last few years working in pediatrics in the school and community settings with children who present with various neurological and orthopedic conditions as well as delayed gross motor development. Janine’s physiotherapy practice involves assessment of musculoskeletal and neurological impairments as well as utilizing techniques such as manual therapy, exercise prescription, and other modalities to treat the diagnosis. Her goal with each patient is to educate them on proper posture, injury prevention, and home exercise programs to ensure full recovery and return to function. Janine is continuing to further her education by taking post-graduate courses in acupuncture, intramuscular stimulation, manual therapy, exercises prescription, musculoskeletal rehabilitation to treat musculoskeletal injuries. In her spare time, Janine enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, staying active, hiking, going to the lake and enjoying everything that the beautiful Kootenays has to offer.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 6 months ago I called and made an appointment with a clinical counsellor, and I had to wait 2 weeks for that appointment, which was totally fine. When the day of the appointment came, they called and cancelled. I rescheduled and had to wait another 2 weeks for a new appointment. Yet again they called me a couple hours before my appointment and cancelled. This was very unprofessional and I waited over a month and never even got to see anyone.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As directed by the surgeon called to arrange post surgery physio. Was told wait list was over a month. Receptionist was ever less interested when she found out was not a ICBC or WCB claim. She also a bit aloof to my concern about rehab.
