I bring my senior dog here and they are fantastic! Super friendly to deal with and amazing with the dogs. Thanks for helping make Magoos retirement great!

We love it here! Everything is so well run, and it speaks volumes that our dog leaps from the car and runs in as fast as she can..every time we bring her :)

We boarded our dogs here for the first time on the weekend, and after doing extensive research, we decided on KCA due to the reviews and recommendations. I was extremely anxious about boaring them (which i communicated) as i have never boarded them before. They had a double suite, which was great as we could keep them together. I liked that they have a huge fenced area. The girl at check-in on Saturday was lovely and friendly and made sure to answer any questions we had. When we dropped them off I asked if they sent updates (i had seen reviews that they do send updates which helped to ease my anxious mind) and was told no but they would post them on instagram for updates. I checked all weekend and never saw our dogs posted which was a huge bummer especially as there were lots of stories about their 'new friends', but i also understand they are busy. On Monday when we went to pick them up, I had completely forgotten about the 3pm opening time, so we (my partner and I) agreed we would just drive up there and if the gate was closed we would wait outside. When we got there, the gate was wide open, with the open sign turned on the door (it was 2:50). I got out of the truck and was greeted by maybe the owner? (i think, she didn't introduce herself) who was quite abrupt in telling us that they were closed and was quite rude when she asked if we had opened the gate ourself, which we obvoiusly hadn't. I suggested we would wait until 3, not a big deal, but it just felt like we were a huge inconvenience being there and not at all the same experience we had at check in. I realise this was an error on both sides (us showing up 10 mins early, and their gate not being closed) but it was really quite upsetting how we were greeted when we got there. We were told our dogs were not walked off leash as I had unknowingly missed initialing that part on the paperwork, but that paperwork was never presented back to me at check in to sign. The whole experience on Monday made me quite upset and stressed out on the drive home. Dogs seemed content and tired when we picked them up. Agree with the previous review that they definitely take care of dogs but customer service could use some work.

The best place to send my high energy pup to get exercise and to socialize with other dogs! His favourite place in the world! Everyone is so accommodating and friendly, as well as, the property is a beautiful puppy paradise.

We have been sending our miniature dachshund to KCA since he was old enough to attend as my parter and I often have conflicting work schedules. Ty and Justin are amazing assets to our community and I never doubt them, or any of their employees to do what is best for the dogs in their care. The professionalism and consideration of the team at Kootenay Canine always impresses me, and I have never stressed about my dogs safety or wellbeing when he joins for playcare or sleepovers. After spending the day running around outside, I know that I will pick up a tuckered out, fulfilled and socialized pup who is ready for a snuggle.

Kootenay Canine is such a great place. We take our dog there twice a week for daycare and she loves it. Always gets a wash at the end of the day and comes home happy and tired. We also board her and feel confident that she is being taken care of properly. Our dog recently had an injury right before boarding, and the staff went above and beyond to treat her daily to ensure it didn't get worse. Highly recommended! Thanks Kootenay Canine!

Ty and the team at Kootenay Canine Adventures are amazing! My rescue pup has some stranger danger and can be dog selective - the folks at Kootenay Canine are so patient with her and she has a blast! They have different play areas for dog with different play styles, she goes on a huge off leash adventure daily, and also gets some much needed quiet time. I love that they post pictures on their instagram every day and it makes me so happy to see my dog having the time of her life. She comes home from 'camp' happy and sleepy! What more could you ask for in a doggy daycare and boarding facility?

It is never easy leaving your dog with someone, especially when your dog is a "challenging" GSD. Ty and her team put us instantly at ease from the moment we arrived for our first meet and greet. It is readily evident they understand dogs and they truly enjoy working with them. The facilities at KCA are immaculate. They have invested a great deal of time and money making their place not only functional, but also confidence inspiring with its intelligent layout and clean appearance. All our questions and concerns were answered. They suggested we bring our dog out for a day before her first over-night. We highly recommend this approach as it familiarizes the animal with the kennel and the staff with the animal. It also put us at ease because we could use the day stay as a trial run before our dog's first over-night. Ty assured us all went well and she had no concerns about having our dog stay over-night. Our dog's first multi-day stay went great. Ty gave us updates and even sent pictures of our dog having fun out in the snow. We strongly recommend KCA to anyone in need of a kennel either for day care or extended stays.
