The person working there when we went in (not sure if he is the owner) was friendly and helpful and took his time to answer questions, look for the books we requested, and chat about different authors. We had a lovely time browsing and found some great reads.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've been in a fair number of used bookstores over the years and I think this one would be my favorite just for the ambiance alone. Cozy, bright, well ventilated, excellent staff, classy music, amazing cash/credit system. Book turnover is a tad slow so I treat myself every couple of months and I've found some books there that I have been hunting for, for years.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Knotanew is one of my favourite used bookstores and I make sure to visit it every time I am in Peterborough. It has a large selection of books, including a lot of genre fiction. The staff is friendly and helpful every time I visit, and while I was there this time they helped several other customers find a specific book they came looking for. There are several comfortable chairs to sit in while you browse. The prices are very reasonable. It's a really lovely place and well worth a visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great little shop where you can pick up a variety of used books. Good selection of youth books, I was able to get some Captain Underpants and Jedi Academy for my son. Also a large selection of fiction, and a fairly large section at the back devoted to War books You may not find the newest releases, but you will find something you like.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great little bookstore in the downtown region. There's a really good fiction selection with some special first editions, full series and collector's items at the front which was pretty cool. The atmosphere is very laid back and there was an employee around in case you needed any help. There's a somewhat limited nonfiction section near the back where I was able to find a few things I wanted. It's really heavy on US and British history as well anything to do with war.
The organization was a bit scattered with boxes of books lying around. You have to dig through some of the boxes in order to look at more of the titles, but honestly I just don't see any other way around it with the smaller space. The prices were very reasonable (I paid about 9 dollars for each of my books).
Definitely a nice place to spend an hour or more in if you're interested in finding some good reads, but I wish they had a better nonfiction selection.
