About Kiwi Nurseries Ltd
Kiwi Nurseries Ltd. is a family owned and operated business that all started with a couple of Kiwis. In 1976, Murray Munro took the plunge and moved from New Zealand to Canada. Here in Alberta, he set out to continue his passion for horticulture by founding Kiwi Landscaping, with his wife Alison, in 1979. Kiwi Landscaping’s beginnings were to provide commercial landscaping services to Albertan clients.
In 1990, the land where Kiwi Nurseries Ltd. currently operates was purchased as a place to grow trees to supply our own landscaping projects. However as word spread of the tree nursery, there was an overwhelming demand to sell to the public and Kiwi Nurseries Ltd. was formed in 2003. With Murray working as the superintendent of the landscaping crew and Alison working behind the scenes, the commercial nursery continued to grow into the retail sales centre it is today… and we are still growing!
Kiwi Nurseries Ltd. has always been a family venture with both daughters involved. Murray and Alison’s eldest daughter, Kathryn, joined the team full-time in 2006-2015, followed by Ashleigh from 2012 to present. Although Kathryn will always be involved in the business in many ways, she currently works elsewhere full-time, pursuing career goals outside the family business.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's worth the trip! Lots of selection, happy/friendly staff and prices are reasonable. I'm a residential/commercial landscaper and little things like someone smiling make my day. The staff are also knowledgeable and that's very important too. I haven't been here in years but I'll definitely be going back many times.

Ashleigh and the team @ Kiwi were awesome. I called quite a few nurseries in and around the surrounding Edmonton area, and the staff at Kiwi were by far the most helpful. They took the time to answer my questions and even gave me ideas through e-mail by pictures. Pricepoint was fair, but I have no issue paying a bit more to have service exceed my expectations.
We bought 4 trees and a bunch of shrubs for our yard, paid for delivery and planting. The crew were professional, clean and fast.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a great experience today at Kiwi Nurseries. All the staff are knowledgeable, helpful and friendly, and there are lots of them to help you. We purchased all our trees several years ago when we relandscaped our property and today I found some fabulous Purple Spire Crabapples. I can't say enough good things about their selection and helpful knowledgeable staff. It's worth the drive.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Thought this was just a place to buy trees till we decided to go look. They have a huge selection of flowers, herbs, ferns, vegetable, fruit and to my surprise they have California Reaper! Needless to say I had to spend a few $100 here and do not regret it. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable and the best part about Kiwi Nurseries is THEY HAVE CHICKENS!!! Not for sale though.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I always see they have kids events listed, and we had a very nice time for Easter here. Nice scavenger hunt nature walk for the kids, good price. They also had baby chicks to pet and sunflower seeds. We will come back to try other events in the future and would also like to drop by when there are more outdoor plants in-stock ? The e staff were also very kind and helpful
