★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Perfect spot with a playground and two baseball diamonds, dog park, and ample parking. Right on lake simcoe. It can be windy so only depending on wind direction do you notice the dump smells, but there are signs in the dog park that dogs should not dig here due to potential garbage below. There are burrs in the dog area and access to the lake so only go if you’re up for a clean up! Also great spot to just park and look out at the water when it’s cold.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Off leash Dog park needs major TLC/upgrades.
it's a great size but the areas we dont see and our dogs do are littered with broken glass and general garbage. City washes hands of responsibility by posting signs that say watch your dogs due to the site previously being a dump however the park is very large and has a lot of bush which makes it impossible to keep tabs on your dog. Maybe a regular cleaning or make a smaller fenced in area by the main spot would help.
Also the fencing in the water will not stop your dog from escaping if they can swim or even walk 6ft out into the water.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Always fun here and the views are amazing! There's a new snack bar with clean porta potty when washrooms are closed. Lots of pitch for Soccer games, softball games and I think they may still have the Horseshoe throwing club still. We had a nice afternoon on a bench in the shade of the trees. I didn't smell the Dump at all today lol!! Bird watchers might enjoy the park. This is a Osprey nest had a baby but wouldn't poke his head up!!
