Great ice fishing for trout. Very picturesque with a mountain backdrop.

There are reserved spots that nobody uses. Great location, but terrible roads getting to it, and they don't have a sign indicating whether or not the campgrounds are full.

Stopped for a night and got the last available spot. Small RV type spots to pull in. Cold and windy but beautiful views.

Go only if you have lot of time on your hand. Wash rooms are dirty, camping after 1100 P M Wood is free perhaps!! The lake stinks and there is a warning of some sort of bacteria or what in the dirt, soil and growth here. Wash everything thing. You may put yourself in trouble of FLAT TIRE as it is at the end of a very rough n tough gravel road!???

Kinkey lake, Not Kinky lake, one might think weird things happen at this lake, there are trout in this lake (Whirling disease is prevalent maybe that may be why the lake is called Kinkey? because the fish are Kinked?) Camping area is flat, good views of the pointy hills of the rocky mountains. would recommend February tent camping if you are silly enough to do it.

Campsites are very open, only reason for 3 stars. Otherwise nice and clean, nice to be at a lake!

A quiet campground with a view of the Eastern face of the Rockies. We stayed here on our way to Jasper National Park in mid-summer as it didn't require reservations. There are ten sites in a gravel parking lot on the shore of Kinky Lake. There are no services, but there was free fire wood included in the 23 dollar nightly fee. A trail circles the shoreline of Kinky Lake.
