The cinema currently has a large display of anti-vax articles and alt-right media prominently featured out front. I'm deeply saddened, as this was formerly my favourite independent cinema in the city and a local South-Etobicoke treasure. I look forward to visiting again as soon as they stop peddling pseudoscience and platforming misinformation that results in preventable death and violence in our communities.

Quaint old-school theatre in a fun spot to take in a later-run film. On a Friday afternoon, you don’t have to fight off the crowds for a good seat. It’s a complete throwback to the largely forgot and lost theatres of the past. Projection quality is lacking. And a noisy fan in the theatre can overpower the movie soundtrack at times. Otherwise, a delightful experience.

Went for the Friday double feature and I really dig this place, although it's not everyone's cup of tea. If youre looking for a cineplex, this place isn't for you. If youre looking for a tiny theater with cult movies, a suspicious spot on the wall and the world's strongest whiskey sour, then you'll love this spot. It's charming, affordable and simple. There is one viewing room and that's all you need. I can't wait to go back for another movie.

Excellent old school theatre. I see people here complaining about the fan noise and old seats. It’s like buying a record player and complaining about the crackles and pops a vinyl record would make. Makes no sense. It’s an old school theatre and if you can’t appreciate the charm of it then just go to Cineplex or fire up Netflix at home.

A great independent neighbourhood movie theatre that plays movies that are a couple of months old. It’s older and not fancy, very unlike the big chain theatres, but it’s charming and plays popular movies. It has a vintage vibe. It’s often close to empty, so it feels like you’re attending a private film screening. Jumbo popcorn with free refills is only $10 and they serve beer and cocktails. A very convenient location, right next to Royal York TTC station, easily accessible without a car.

Classic independant movie theatre with a retro charm. The style is fun and the environment is comfortable. Prices are competitive, they have a custom menu, and seating is not overly hectic. They often show historical and cultural films that aren't at other chains. Looks like there have also been some film events to raise funds and awareness for different causes. Support your local community businesses!

Went to this theatre last night and was pleasantly surprised. Theatre and washroom were very clean, the lady working concessions was very pleasant as was the man that I think was the owner. Admission price was steep - 16 dollars - but I don't mind paying premium to keep independent cinemas in business. My only complaint was the amount of trailers before the show, about 20 minutes worth.

Toronto's last independent cinema still holds up! Ordered a grilled cheese sandwich prior to the movie and it was so good. The sound is up to par and they have kooky disco lighting in the theatre that goes off once the previews start. Went to see 'Dune' three times just b/c I love it and wanted to support my favourite movie theatre. As an added bonus they played a scene from Lynch's 'Dune' prior to the 2021 version. Nice touch! Highly recommended :D
