This place is a solid 4 stars. Consistent with food. Sushi isn't the freshest I've had but its not bad either. Prices are very good. Lunch specials are better. Great for last minute dining. Their service is fast and it can get busy at times. Great selections to pick from and great presentation of dishes. Update: preordering and picking up or dining in is a very pleasant experience if you call 15minutes before getting there.

I often come to this place to have lunch in person either on my own or with other people because it's close to where I work. I often use my own account to order my family's dinner online and have it delivered to my house as this place is close to where I live. My husband has his own account online as well and he also does the ordering under his own account for my family when I'm busy. My husband orders my family's dinner very often as well. Several months ago, I came to this location on my own planning to have lunch here. Probably I came to the restaurant a bit too early, so nobody served even though I seated myself in one of the tables. No one came to ask me and brought me any menu whatsoever. So, I left that day without saying anything. But I naively thought that this service was due to the time was too early and they were all busy with all the deliveries they got that day. So, later, I came back to this location and continued to enjoy their food there for a few weeks. Until today. Today, I came to enjoy their food as usual on my own. I even sent messages to my husband telling him about their new menu as show the pictures in this post and asking him to come with me probably tomorrow night to try out their new hotpot menu. However, after I finished my meal and went to the cashier counter preparing to pay for my bill, I waited there for close to 5 minutes without anybody asking me and providing me the bill so I could pay it and left the restaurant immediately as I had works to do. Before me, there's a Caucasian woman paying her bill and chatting with the other server. As it's getting close to the Christmas, that lady offered a large tip to that server so that server’s super nice to her. That lady paid off her lunch bill first, and then the server went to the other place to get a bag of tea. Even though at that time, the cashier register was closed, and someone could go ahead and print out the bill for me to pay it, no one paid attention to me. All I could do was standing there waiting. Because, in my education, they provided their services and they deserved to be paid. So, I was like a stupid person standing at the cashier register counter waiting for the bill to be printed even though all their eyes were focusing on that Caucasian woman. In the end, after that Caucasian woman left the cashier counter slowly due to her disability, finally, another server came to me and printed me the bill and charged me. I decided to give them 12% tips calculated based on the after-tax amount of the bill even though I honestly don't think they deserve that number of tips. After that, I left the restaurant without hearing any thank you. If that's how you guys treat loyal customer like this (after I have spent so much money for my family gatherings and for my business meetings), I'll ask all my friends to go somewhere else from now on. Thank you. Just to add few more details to the event at the cashier register counter. The server, who was helping the Caucasian woman, left the counter immediately after the woman paid and was getting ready to leave. No one asked me why I was standing there until that woman left the scene and then the other server (Waitress #2), who had help me taking my order previously ,came and finally printed out the bill even though Waitress #2 had passed by the area several times already.

Once again, looking for a quick lunch, the Bento box seemed like a good choice. This place has very affordable lunch box prices, which results in something you should be expecting. Paper-thin fish on nigiri sushi, lousyΒ rolled makis, and a salad with barely any dressing. But hey, you get exactly what you paid for, and by far, it is not always a bad thing! Very often, it is another way around. Could you pay a few bucks more and get a better bento? Absolutely. Does this one worth its price? It might.

Overall the food flavour and texture was ok. The Montreal roll was much smaller than expected; the breaded scallops were not scallops (it was imitation); we asked for no green onions in everything, but there was green onions in the miso soups and udon; we asked for wasabi and ginger separated but it was in the same box and the tamago sushi for my son had wasabi on it; the hot food was only warm. The driver was late, didn’t know we paid online, and wouldn’t leave until we gave him a tip. Not sure if we want to order from Kiku again.

They messed up our reservation by giving it away to another party with also 4 adults and 2 kids. However we were able to get another table quickly and they try to make it up by giving us some fresh fruits at the end. The kids love the fruits. The food was decent.

I have paid this place more than a couple visit , it has never disappointed me . The winter combo and the grilled salmon head are always my go-to at this resturant. However after covid I realized the price went up significantly PS. DO NOT ORDER UNI

This used to be one of my favorite sushi places in the Metrotown area. However after the pandemic hit, I noticed that their prices have gone up (which is understandable) but the quality of their sushi has gone down. The portion sizes are also very small. The California roll in a combo I ordered came out barely covered in rice and looked kiddy-sized. It was basically all-you-can-eat sushi quality. I don't normally complain about the amount of rice on sushi because I don't like to eat a lot of it, but the patches of naked seaweed staring back at me was kind of ridiculous. Not sure if the ownership or management changed, but I will probably not be coming back because there are other sushi restaurants in the area as well. The servers are still attentive enough to refill your tea and ask you if everything is ok, but you won't be satisfied with the quality of the sushi and it's definitely not worth what you paid for.

Sashimi was solid. Oyster motoyaki was smaller but flavourful. Scallops wrapped in bacon were tasty as well. Service was a mixed bag. Person who seated me looked grumpy but server who took my further requests and ultimately brought the bill was cheery and friendly. I’d try it again. Especially because good places with Uni are harder to find.
