Kids U Centennial - Calgary

Kids U began as one campus occupying a single classroom in a church building in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. 

One of the founders, Dr. Anil Karim, began his early childhood education journey working in the classroom with the children, striving to offer students with a variety of programming to help develop the "whole child." 

Dr. Karim continued to develop his concepts of Right Brain, Left Brain and Movement learning, which were concepts that were relatively new to the childcare industry at the time. Along with co-founder Faisal Alimohd, the two selected passionate early childhood educators, who were eager to incorporate the latest in brain research to their teaching. 

When it became clear that the existing space could no longer accommodate the need for distinct Left Brain, Right Brain and Movement learning environments, they sought to find a bigger space for their growing vision. 

After moving to the new campus space, Dr. Karim worked closely alongside the teaching team to grow and refine his vision of offering early childhood education focused on brain development rather than arbitrary learning outcomes. Over the next couple of years, Dr. Karim continued to explore methods and philosophies in different countries and cultures around the world, while the teachers refined the learning system and program operations at home. 

As the details crystallized, the Kids U program expanded throughout the Calgary region, further developing a trusted and respected program that is known today for its focus on teaching children how to learn rather than what to learn.As Kids U continues to grow, the founders remain committed to their vision of supporting as many children as possible through further refinement of their award-winning learning system.
