★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When our Rockies tour bus stopped near the Kelowna City Park we were immediately attracted towards this tall white sculpture besides the park and waterfront. The placard at the base of the forty foot tall fiberglass structure told us that this piece of artwork was created by R. Dow Reid, a well known local sculptor and was entitled 'Sails'. It was lowered into place by helicopters in October 1977. It has now become a beacon for attracting tourists to the waterfront.
