J	Jake McIlravey on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Extremely nice library and a great place to read and study. Free WiFi, plugs, and plenty of tables makes it a perfect spot to bring your laptop and study. The library offers paid printing, computers for use to the public (requires a library card), and a very, very wide selection of books and other things.

So easy! Even for an ‘old girl’. I’ve been enjoying the virtual library ever since. Needed an “actual book” and went into your incredible library on Ellis Street today. A very kind young woman helped me to find the book I had reserved, and I then went to the desk and was issued a card for my wallet. Everyone was so supportive and friendly. Thank you, so much. If you are resident here you can get the library card for free, check out on their website to see what to bring with you when you come to apply for a library card. It’s quick and hassle-free. Also, there’s an online app to borrow books, which is preferable in my opinion.

I’ve attended two big events at the library recently - a workshop by Royal Roads University upstairs in the big multi-purpose room, and last night a gala fundraiser for a local non-profit. The main floor of the library was turned into a dance floor under beautiful patio lights. Food, wine, and dancing. Who can resist partying the library? A lovely building with a forward thinking board & staff.
J	Jehezkiel Eugene on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dear students: if y'all are looking into a study space that has a quiet, chill, roomy, and a "focus-driven" atmosphere, the public downtown library is where you would want to bring your books, laptop, and notes. Granted, it's not a huge public library (if you were to compare it to Vancouver's Public Library) but Kelowna's ORL is great enough if you're looking for something different! Head upstairs to the second floor and sit by the windows facing Ellis St. To me, those art paintings by the wall positively contribute to the overall atmosphere of the studying area. There's wall sockets underneath the window tables for you to plug in your phone, laptop, or whatever it is. Eduroam WiFi in the area + ORL's WiFi is also available. There are printers and meeting rooms on the west side of the second floor meeting rooms.
