I made the 2 hr drive from Whistler to YVR only to discover a hand written notice at the check in counter saying all flights from previous day, today and tomorrow are cancelled! How could that be? I wondered. After being stuck in the KD Air phone matrix for almost 30 mins, someone finally answered and admitted KD AIr sold me a ticket to an already cancelled flight... and then had the sheeer audacity to not promptly refund my cc! Outright fraud by KD Air. Do not, at all costs, book with KD Air

At least they had the courtesy to call I suppose after reading some of the other comments here. Was assured the ticket would be refunded however here we are, weeks later, and nothing. After following up by email after nothing came through after a week, KD initially responded saying they were working through a large number of refunds. Fair enough, however after two weeks there was still nothing, and after three weeks they have gone silent. Thinking about it some more, the math does not add up. Their planes are not very big and it is not like they are operating a ton of flights - so how many refunds are we talking about here? Can't be all that many. Something smells. I used to fly them regularly but it had been some time since I last used them and I do not recall there being issues like this. I have since filed a dispute with Visa (my first ever) and will resolve this that way. Accepting bookings you know you will be unable to operate (apparently the maintenance work was scheduled?!) and then withholding promised refunds is tantamount to fraud. Be assured KD that in my dealings with Visa I will encourage them to revoke your vendor status so as to prevent you from fleecing people.
S	Sara Taeb on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Avoid at all costs. Cancelled a flight to Tofino 2 days before hand. We flew all the way from UK to Vancouver to go to a wedding in Tofino! Even worse is the fact that they stress a no refund policy as if it was the customer who cancelled the flight. Furthermore, they cancelled a flight because the plane had maintenance issues. One must question the organization and by extension the safety of an airline like this. How do you have maintenance issues with a plane and no back up plane or plan of any sort??? If management does not contact us with a plan of some sort we will sue for the cost of the whole trip from the Uk to here!

KD Air is a business that should be taken down! Below is my story... Please visit kdair-reviews(dot)com to express your experience with KD Air. Everything seemed totally fine when booking two return flight tickets from Vancouver South to Tofino for our 3-night stay (tickets worth 698 CAD). Then it all went wrong… KD Air called two days before scheduled departure, telling me that the flight to Tofino is cancelled due to unscheduled maintenance. I had to book the flight with other airline for double the cost. KD Air assured me that the flight from Tofino to Vancouver South will still happen. After the first night in Tofino, KD Air called me again and told me that the flight back to Vancouver is cancelled due to unscheduled maintenance. Again, I had to book the trip back with another airline for double the cost! As I don’t live in Canada, KD Air’s customer service assured me that I will get back money back! It has been 5 months and counting (since July 2018), I still don’t have my money and KD Air decided to stop responding to my emails.
D	David Calvert on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had round trip flights from Vancouver to Tofino. Both flights were cancelled due to fog and we had to take a two and a half hour shuttle ride. I would understand if it wasn’t for the fact that every other airline didn’t seem to have any difficulty navigating the weather. Also, the workers at the airport said that KD Air does this about half the time. This airline is extremely unreliable and should be avoided at all cost.
