At no fault of another business that went out of business I was forced to negotiate for similar but not matching product from the now liquidator or my only other option was to go after the now bankrupt business.
Kawartha capitol LITERALY came and swapped out the product I had to settle for for the matching product that they had in stock.
they did not have to help me at all, but they went above and beyond.
If they have it in stock.... I wont be shopping around.
Major Thanks, my yard looks great now.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I purchased mulch which cost 525. delivery was 50. after i had the total it took me to the payment page and added 150 for gas surcharge(which i did not see) for a 5 km delivery. total rip off Go somewhere else for material.
thanks for your reply, i called yesterday and was told that was part of the price for delivery and chipping of the mulch. I tried to reason that the price of the mulch should have that cost built into it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Decent soil, excellent delivery service. The slinger operator was awesome. He spread 11 yards of soil in my fenced in yard with very little wasted. Only had one issue. I ended up getting charged over 100 dollars more than the price I was given. Even though I was told “The price includes delivery and taxes”. When I called to see why I was charged more the sales dept. said they must have forgotten to mention the fuel surcharge, which would have been fine if I knew that from the beginning (even though I was already charged $150 for delivery +$66 dollars for the slinger fee). They told me there was nothing they could do for me, bedsides “cut me a break” if I wanted to purchase more product from them. Recommend getting product from Scott’s unless you need a slinger to save you a lot of labour. Make sure to get an invoice in writing before you buy, that was my mistake.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If your looking for a disposal service I highly recommend this company. My friend and I from Scarborough demolition and excavation were looking for a bin company around Cordova lake for a demolition. As we are from the city we did not know any companies up in that area.
We found this company on Google and gave them a try. They provided excellent service to us even though some things were last minute..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ UPDATE: My husband called - all they wanted to do was argue! Said they were trying to be transparent with their customers - but at no time prior or during purchase was 18 % surcharge mentioned or discussed, when we called for pricing or was paying.
So very far from being transparent!
Very disappointed after dealing with this company yesterday. Called around looking for bulk mulch, got their price and headed over to pickup the mulch. Got it loaded and headed home, checked the receipt upon arrival and noticed we were charged a 18 % fuel surcharge for something we picked up. Thought for sure it must have been a mistake, called twice to actually check, and nope, anything in the store will have an 18 percent surcharge even if you pickup. Called around to several other locations and no one else is charging this fee unless you are having items delivered.
This will be our last purchase at Kawartha Capital
