About Kas Rea Visual Arts
Saskatchewan artist Kas Rea has been involved in the visual arts for over 12 years. Rea works with a variety of materials including chalk pastels, coloured pencils, graphite, acrylics, watercolours, oils, photography, and face/body painting.
"For me, my art is about sharing ideas, emotions, and telling stories through different media. In my work, I explore themes about nature, specifically the preservation of wildlife and their habitats, as well as feminism and human emotions."
Currently, Rea is enrolled at the University of Saskatchewan (U of S), pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with Honours in Studio Art. In 2012, she completed the University of Saskatchewan Certificate of Art and Design (USCAD) program. At USCAD she did a variety of classes including advanced photography, painting, drawing, photoshop, and animation. Rea also attended Emma Lake's Kenderdine campus for two years.
Since 2017, Rea has been working at Remai Modern art museum in different departments, including; Exhibitions/Collections, Marketing/Communications, and Learning and Engagement.
