★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a theatre company, not an actual theatre. They mostly work with children and put on musicals a couple times a year, with that really funny shows usually taking place after Christmas/before New Year's in the form of a pantomime.

The teachers bring great energy to the classes and performances, helping lead by example and shaping the end product, though encouraging participation from veterans and newcomers alike. Keep in mind that Theatre requires many people to make it work, and not everyone gets to be in the spotlight.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They are experts in their field - but they focus their time and energy on the students that they know. My teenage daughter tried it out for the first time, but was disappointed that the performance was designed to showcase students giving the big parts and most lines to the kids who have been attending Kaleidoscope for years. All the other students got just cameo appearances, and some of them didn't even have lines at all until they complained. It is a shame that the way Kaleidoscope treated the new kids has eroded their natural passion for the arts
