Our approach for developing and stimulating all areas of a child’s needs is by providing a safe and secure environment where children have the confidence to engage in activities thus creating their own learning experience.
The premise underlying our children’s program is developmental in nature. We feel that the role of the environment is critical...that learning occurs through experimental interaction with the environment...discovery, observation and questioning. The children are expected to move at their own rate through active, initiated and self-directed play. Our curriculum content considers age-appropriateness in all developmental areas with emphasis on promoting friendships and increasing feelings of self-worth. All children have strengths as well as needs. Our common goal is the development of skills, attitudes, and behaviour that will allow children to deal effectively with the world in which they live. We consider parent knowledge to be a great asset. It is important that teachers and parents work together to achieve common goals.
We believe in providing equal opportunity for ALL children. Our program offers a balance between ‘free time’ when children make choices and ‘circle times’, when all children take part. Each portion of the day has value and purpose.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A good preschool in the community..!! My son started going to Kaleidoscope this year. He is in the three days a week program and always excited to go. Already made some friends. It was recommended to us by GRIT as the they take care of special kids as well. Hope this school year (2020-21) goes well and my son enjoys each day of it..!!
