★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Brought our car in today because we have a raddle noise at the front right wheel.
My partner told them, before they do any work on the car we want to get an estimate and talk to the mechanic, so we know what the problem is and how much it would cost to get it fixed.
What so ever, they called, saying the car is "ready".
As my partner arrived, he got told, that they took a test drive and that the exhaust shield is making the raddle sound. They removed the shield and re tested and said the noise is gone.
After that my partner did a test drive and could immediately hear the sound again. He went straight back to KalTire and the only answer he got was that the mechanic who "fixed" the car was already gone and then he had to pay the bill.
We didn't got called before they started working on the car, nore could we to talk to a mechanic or got an estimate. They just "repaired" something we didn't asked/agreet to.
Now we have to pay for a not wanted work and still have the same problem.
Super mad about it. It's not that hard to give your customers a call before start to work on a car when they ask to do that.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Im not a bitter customer...this one star does not necessarily reflect Golden BC because I have had a very good in person experience in Golden with Kal. We had a tire issue in Golden BC Sunday at 130pm. We called Kal Tire and someone in Arkansas picked up the phone. We organized a call out no mileage as we were at Kal Tire. We just needed a Tire. We put a $350 deposit down and began our wait. At 6pm they called us back and said We want $400 more or We are not going to do it. Then the Kal Tire rep said.. No? Ok.. We will cancel and hung up. Now.. I use to use Kal all the time. Bought a set of tires every year. It really did use to be good .. no wait... great! service. I tried using Kal more than once recently.. and the service rating only deserves the one star. I would go lower but there isn't a zero rating.
Anywhoooo.... if your a walk in customer.. between the regular business hours.. I'm sure you'll be fine.
After hours call out? Good luck... whew..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I wasn't impressed at all I brought my logging truck in to have a tire replaced on my trailer and the trailer was on the back of my truck and they refused to do the work stating that they aren't allowed to lift over 50 pounds and also they refuse to air up a tire if it has low air pressure

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I want to apologize to the Kal-Tire team that saved our butt last August for not posting my review earlier. We were travelling from Kelowna to Ottawa in a new sports car and we limped into Kal-Tire in the morning of 19 Aug. We were on a tight schedule and they quickly diagnosed the problem and recommended a replacement for the “run-flat”. Magically they found a match in another location and had it FedExed the following day. They also coordinated the payment with the Car Dealer who installed the tire improperly. This team in Golden are rockstars! The compassion, the care, the expertise and the inventory was extraordinary. It was huge morale boost to get this resolved so effectively at the start of an epic cross Canada drive. Thank-you from the bottom of my heart!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely terrible customer service. Unprofessional at the door. Showed up for my appointment and the had given it away without contacting me.Wasted my entire morning waiting for them to fit in my tire install. They never ended up getting it done. Don't waste your time. Fountain tire has been a far superior experience in town.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stopped in at KT Golden for a TPMS check on 1 tire after a white knuckle drive from Armstrong heading to Calgary, as I was pulling in my washer fluid light came on too. The attendant was so great, he checked all 4 tires and helped me put the washer fluid in! Amazing service!!!
