★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had the soba noodles with tempura veggies. The sauce for the soba was missing the grated daikon and was too salty as it was simply the soy sauce but the soba itself was good, and so were the tempura veggies. The tempura was fresh and tasty. Can't wait to try the other items on the menu!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is our absolute favorite restaurant. Being new to Kelowna, this was the first place we tried for Japanese food and we've been going back ever since. Staff are kind and fun, food is fresh and delicious, and on top of that the prices are insanely low!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place makes me wish I was a local. I will dream about the chicken Katsu and have cravings for the calamari. The service was friendly and efficient while the atmosphere was welcoming. This will be on my restaurant list for when I visit Kelowna.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The rice is a bit hard and the sashimi is not really fresh except for the scallops. Shrimps are overcooked. It might be one of the best Japanese restaurants in Kelowna but I’m sure it’s just average quality and overpriced throughout Canada.

? Nigiri’s rice is just tight enough to break down when you eat and fish quality is fantastic.?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went here expecting to have a nice sushi dinner, but were pretty disappointed when we looked at the menus. The sushi selection was extremely small (only 7-8 generic sushi rolls) which surprised us considering they call themselves a sushi restaurant.
That being said, what we did end up ordering was pretty good and we have no complaints about the food quality. The plating was really nice and service was good.
A nice little restaurant but don’t go here expecting a sushi feast.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visiting from out of town. Local food guide said this restaurant was #1 on the list so we decided to check it. Mabui sushi izakaya is their old name. Friendly staff told me new owner was in place but they kept the menu the same with minor changes. We weren't disappointed. The sushi tasted delicious, sashimi was fresh and the ramen was so good just wished it had more broth. We would definitely eat here again.
