DON'T USE K3 CATS! We actually spent more time sitting in the cat or standing around then skiing on Sunday. Not what i thought i had paying for. "Our stay at the lodge started off great & ended with an overall feeling of disappointment. Kristen, Chris, & Todd where great hosts and made our stay memorable. Friday and Saturday's skiing was amazing and left us only wanting more. Sunday morning there was a power outage at the lodge - we remained understanding and optimistic - things happen/growing pains. Then our Cat did not start. After several attempts and then waiting for Kris one of the owners to arrive to see if he could get it running, we were left with no other option,Β  but wait for a Cat to be brought up from the bottom. With the arrival of this Cat we finally began to ski at around 10:20 (1.5 hrs after original plan to leave). We were still trying to remain understanding & optimistic but then only after 3 runs the second Cat we were in that was leaking hydraulic fluid needed to be fill up. This caused another 90+ minute delay in our last day of skiing. The driver and guide seemed skilled and experienced in driving and skiing, the task of filling the hydraulic tank was not a one either driver or guide could complete without out several calls back and forth to Kris, who was already dealing with our first cat and cabin power issues. Finally after raising the guest cab past vertical which Kris had stated not to do over the radio. The guest cab was sitting on the ground on top of all of the skis and snowboards, thankfully none were damaged. After several attempts and finally Kris showing up - the guestsΒ had to help lift the cabin back into a position where the hydraulics were able to work enough to lower the cab into the correct position! With this finally completed we all climbed into the cat where the mood went from understanding and empathy to frustration. We completed 3 more shorter laps and then a long drive all the way back to the lodge to get ready to leave. After all that, when we got to the lodge we were told to "we needed to hurry" we only had about ten minutes to get ready because people were waiting at the staging area - after the amount we had waited throughout the day for mechanical issues it felt like a slap in the face. At no time was there clear explanation from K3 about what was going on, or what was being done to fix the problem. It felt like we were left to put up with the days failures as a departing gift. We are surprised and disappointed that K3 has made no effort to reach out after our understanding and support to recover the day by helping with the Cat, to offer any type of explanation or apology. Instead we received confirmation that they had billed us for our bar tab." Once they have your money they don't seem to care any further about your satisfaction. What a shame! To be fair I gave K3 the chance to respond to my emails, offering them the opportunity to address my concerns and maybe apologize, before even thought about posted anything. 2 emails later still not a word. I don't recommend K3 catskiing or plan to use them in the future. @$4500.00 for 2.5 days of skiing this is not worth the my money I spent. The Revelstoke area has great skiing and many other cat skiing outfits to choose from. Lindsay

K3 is the best choice for Cat Skiing in this region. We have been a few times, and every single time was 10/10. Guides are knowledgeable, fun & kept us safe without any issues. I would always opt for K3 above the competition when looking into a cat ski trip!

Very enjoyable experience. If you've never gone cat skiing, I'd highly recommend trying it out. Guides were professional, knowledgeable, organized, safe, and friendly. Guides dictate the tone for the day and Tim, Matt and Kevin (srry if I got the names wrong) were awesome guides. Snow was all time. Light and ultra deep even though it was opening day. Visibility reduction from constant faceshots was real. Terrain was mostly lightly treed. Not sure if this is true for all of the area or if it was due to stability, but avy reports were orange and big avalanches were being skier triggered across western Canada, so it was nice to be in stable snowpack. Some steeps, some mellow. Options existed for everyone: some people meandered down mellower paths while others lined up some airs on steeper sections and sent it. Cats were shiny, new, and very comfortable. Sandwiches and cookies were Damn delicious. Hats off to whoever made the sandwiches, because they were amazing. Transceivers were easy to use and instructions to were given at the start of the day. I would say k3 is perfect for 95% of skill levels. Any beginner-intermediate to advanced intermediate skiers/boarders. True Beginner beginners will prob have too tough a time with the powder. On that note, if you board, make sure to bring your powder board and set your Bindings back... Prob all the way back. If you want some surfy pow and face shots in a great atmosphere, hit these guys up.

What a great company to deal with! Excellent service from the start in with Steph in the office, to the guides Rich (lead) Carmen (tail) Mel (tail) Ben (tail) they were all excellent! You can really tell they have a passion for skiing and a passion for making sure their guests are well taken care of, especially in groups with mixed abilities. They teams were consistently offering a more challenging lines for the stronger skiers and really looking after everyone. Thank you very much!

We skied Jan 25,26/2021. What an amazing trip we had!! Definitely the best ski trip we have ever been on. The team that took care of us were top notch (Tim - Lead Guide, Heather - Tail Guide, Natascha - Cat Driver, Kristen - Tail Guide and Sean - AMAZING Chef). A huge thank you to you all. The lodge is a spectacular place to wind down after a great day of skiing. My boys and I look forward to our next booking. Rick, Morgan and Everett Nielsen (Calgary and Kelowna)

The owner gave me his pants! Realized in the morning that I had my wifes' ski pants. We stopped at the owners' place on the way out to the cat so I could borrow his. The crew and the skiing were great. Having pants just made the experience that much better. Thanks Chris.
