The food is fantastic - Seitan's has some of the best vegan food in Edmonton (it's created by the same folks as Die Pie, so anyone missing that restaurant should definitely check this place out!) The customer service is awesome as well, they truly want to make their customers happy and provide a positive experience. Highly recommend!
S	Suzie Holmgren on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So good! It wasn't the smoothest experience. You order off an app and 1) we are old 2) there is so much wonderful stuff to choose from, its a little overwhelming. We had a few glitches that were immediately rectified. After all our struggles, the food is amazing and the people are fantastic. I HIGHLY recommend the Professor PB&J burger with an original Cider. Thank you for a great Friday night. We will be back!

I enjoyed the vibes of the place, like an upscale food court kind of vibe - lots of options for every palate and all small local operators so you know you're not supporting some behemoth chain. I tried one of the burgers from Backstairs and it was so so good - what a tasty lunch. Definitely want to go back and try one of the other restaurants and bring more of my friends. The app can be tricky to sort out at first but once you get it, it makes ordering a breeze. The service was also really great! Definitely worth checking out.

Table service to clear dishes also kinda slow. The online interface is a bit clunky, not easy to see all your options either. The whole app ordering doesn’t really add anything for me. Not sure what problem it solves. A QR menu with a human taking your order and accepting payment at the end of your visit seems like a fine system to me, not in need of alterations or “upgrade”.
T	Tim Daley on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We’ve walked past this place dozens of times, always saying, “We should check that place out.” Finally took the plunge last night, and it was outstanding. Very cool ambience inside. Staff was friendly and attentive, and the OG burger from Backstairs Burger was probably the best burger I’ve ever had in my life. Crack fries are amazing too. Ordering on my cellphone was a bit challenging, but it should go more smoothly next time now that I’ve saved my profile and payment info on the JustCook app. Looking forward to warmer weather so that we can sit on the patio next time. We will definitely be back!

Right now they have a support dog for relief funds for those in need in the Ukraine. Check out the "bobba said knock you out" 5$ from every order goes towards supporting those in the Ukraine. Backstair burger also has been donating 100 hot meals every Saturday night to an organization called Nékem. To change something. Which delivers hot meals to the vulnerable community members of Edmonton and Edmonton river valley. We like to give a big thanks to backstair and the crew at 5th street food hall for all of your support!
J	Jaz H. on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ TL;DR-poor customer service, inconvenient way of ordering, okay food Overall, it was very disappointing… For anyone who is planning on visiting, just take a look at the following pointers: -you need to download their app to be able to order and view the menu OR stand at the “order here” and look at their iPad to order the food (which I found to be overall very inconvenient since you can’t even view their menu) -we ordered on the app which required you to pay in advance including tip (kinda odd that you have to provide tip in advance) -food selection is somewhat variable. They have 4 restaurant options to choose from but two of them overlapped since one is the comfort food option while the other is a burger option. -my biggest disappointment was their customer service. We had ordered 2 burgers from Backstage Burger which were both unpleasantly salty that when they asked how the food was, we expressed that the food was salty. The response to that was, “burgers can be sometimes salty”, and they walked away. We weren’t offered an apology or a chance to get a new burger or anything of that sort you would normally experience at a typical restaurant. Honestly, I wouldn’t even give a star. I have never been so unsatisfied with a restaurant. I think that the place has a potential and the idea is unique but execution was poorly done.

The 4 restaurants here have such a great variety of options and fresh/new menus that I keep coming back to try new things. And for a group of people with different dietary restrictions, it's an ideal spot! Definitely recommend checking out.
