Let me explain……..
When I found myself looking over old photos at a time when life gave me yet another blind-siding dramatic event, I joked that I had not really changed all that much from the little girl I saw, above.
Although on many of the other photos I found that day, I remembered that I had mustered that exact same ‘cheesy’ smile, even when it had been necessary to fake it.
But on this day, however, although steeped ,once again , in loss and in grief , I had faith that any photos of my smile would be genuine and I knew that I was going to be ok.
I was confident that my drive to be ‘Happy-Regardless’ was the secret to ensuring that this too, I would overcome.
For this little girl inside me did not deserve to be anything other than happy .
Many years before, I had made a pact with my inner child, that I would spend everyday finding ways to feel my happiest and spend my life teaching others how to do the same.
My decades of teaching and coaching clients to build their Emotional Resilience after crisis has led to my keeping that promise to my younger self …for I have made a habit out of what I like to call
Happy-regardless-ness !
and you can too!
Life is too short to be anything but happy!
