At Save-On-Foods, going the extra mile is nothing new. Actually, we’ve gone above and beyond in all areas of our business since we started, way back in 1915. Originally, we were called Overwaitea Food Group because of the founder’s practice of selling 18 ounces of tea for the price of 16, and the name “overweight tea” stuck. Fast forward over 100 years and that name has changed, but we’re still known for delivering extra value to our customers. Today our company is best known for its most prominent banner—Save-On-Foods—but also includes PriceSmart Foods, Urban Fare and Bulkley Valley Wholesale.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a grocery store, lots of young employees. It's clean and well stocked, lots of options and the produce is always neat and clean and well plenished. I do have a suggestion and I always do....some and not all of the staff need to learn how to greet and make customers feel welcome such as a simple hello how are you today....and smile if your not happy to be working there I don't want to shop there! Acknowledge people they are helping to pay your wage...they grumps could take lessons from Pete Meaner, seriously?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. The new store is bright, open and we'll laid out. There is a good restaurant with a wide variety of meal options. A fantastic bakery,again, with lots of tasty options. Save on foods also honors price match which helps customers and encourages them to shop here. The new parking lot is almost complete which is even more encouraging for shoppers to come in and be delighted

I really wish she was still able to participate in the face covering protocol with her shield rather than a mask, as she had been doing for 14 months until an unruly customer complained. Your kindness has not gone unnoticed and I hope you get the justice you deserve!! 99% of people would rather see your beautiful smile than have it muzzled under a mask that makes it hard to breathe!!

**Update.... Been awhile since I wrote that!! Parking is phenomenal and there is now plenty of space.
Excellent fried chicken and chicken wing bar.
Great place to shop!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is one of the best Save on foods that I have shopped in. The produce is always full and the staff is super nice. This is my regular stop now for groceries in the area! I will be back. The manager Leif is a super nice guy, they are lucky to have him.
I also love the cute signs, that the staff has made for the store, as it adds great character.
